Cole Kuiper and Alex Pavlovic analyze what Aaron Judge’s deal with the Yankees will mean for the Giants.

Aaron Judge is not coming home to the Bay Area.

Instead of signing with the Giants in free agency as was speculated, the reigning American League MVP decided to return to the New York Yankees on a contract reported to be nine years and $360 million, per The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal.

On Tuesday, MLB Network's Jon Heyman prematurely reported that "Arson [sic] Judge appears headed to the Giants," only to delete his tweet and apologize for jumping the gun. That made Wednesday morning's news sting even more for Giants fans, who went to sleep Tuesday night hoping it was only a matter of hours before a superstar signed in the Bay.
