
The A's no longer have to worry about sharing the same parking lot with the Warriors. and Matt Chapman is extra grateful for that. You know, just in case he takes Kevin Durant's parking spot -- again.
"That's a funny question," Chapman said on MLB Network's Intentional Talk on Tuesday reminiscing about the time he did just that.

Upon arriving at the Oracle Arena/Oakland Coliseum parking lot last March, both the Warriors and the A's were about to play. Chapman didn't think anything of it, despite signs saying to go separate ways depending on which event you were attending.
The 2018 Gold and Platinum Glove Award winner simply parked his car, just like any other day.
"I didn't really think anything of it, then somebody walked up to me and said 'Hey, you parked in Kevin Durant's spot,'" Chapman said.
He was asked if they were able to take his keys and move the car, which Chapman had no problem with.

"I parked where I was supposed to park, I didn't know [Durant] had a lucky spot," Chapman added. "He's like, the best player ever, I didn't think he needed a lucky spot."
He then added that he saw retired NBA star Paul Pierce talking on one of his shows throwing a little shade at Chapman.
"He was like 'This is Kevin Durant's town, know your place, Matt Chapman.'"
Ahem -- that's Mr. Matt Chapman to you.

"Well, when KD signs with the Knicks, you can have that spot," Matt Vasgersian said.
Looks like Pierce isn't the only one throwing shade.
