The A's upcoming series against the Mariners in Seattle has been postponed through Wednesday, Sept. 2, both the A’s and Major League Baseball announced Monday.
A member of the A’s traveling party tested positive on Saturday for coronavirus in the midst of their series against the Houston Astros.
“Out of an abundance of caution and to allow for additional testing and contact tracing to be performed within the Oakland Athletics’ organization, the scheduled games between the A’s and the host Seattle Mariners at T-Mobile Park on Tuesday, September 1st and Wednesday, September 2nd have been postponed,” MLB said in a press release.

The good news is, the A’s -- since that initial positive test, reportedly have all tested negative for COVID-19 after self-isolating in their hotel in Houston while going through MLB’s health and safety protocols.

A’s general manager David Forst didn’t go into detail about how the positive test occurred and whether or not anyone broke MLB protocols.
No makeup dates have been officially announced yet for the postponements.
