The A's got some much-needed good news Sunday following their heartbreaking 5-3 loss in 13 innings to the Pirates.
Khris Davis, who left the game with a left hip contusion, believes he will be able to play in Oakland's next game on Tuesday.
"Yeah, I think so," Davis told reporters in Pittsburgh. "It'll just be some soreness. It's definitely not too bad, so I feel like I should be good. I feel better already."

SIGN UP HERE Davis suffered the injury in the first inning when he made a terrific catch in foul territory but banged hard into the side wall in left field. He stayed in the game for the rest of the inning, before being replaced by Chad Pinder in the second.
"I was just tracking the ball and trying to check the fence," Davis said after the A's 5-3 loss. "I knew it was going to be close to the fence. I just kept following the ball and stayed on it. I was happy I made the play but a little sad I had to pull myself out. I didn't feel like I'd be beneficial for the team."
Davis told reporters he felt a lot better after taking an anti-inflammatory.

"It feels pretty good. It just got stiff and sore right after it, but I took a Celebrex and I feel a lot better."
A's manager Bob Melvin told reporters he doesn't think Davis will require X-rays.
"(He's) day-to-day," Melvin said. "We'll get through the off day and see how he is."

Oakland returns home Tuesday to open a three-game series with the Cincinnati Reds.
