This shouldn’t be a huge surprise to 49ers fans, as the team was in the same spot at the conclusion of the NFL draft just a few weeks ago.
The release of the league’s schedule, which should be taken with a grain of salt given the continuing impact of the coronavirus pandemic, worked out in the 49ers’ favor compared to 2019 according to NBC Sports Bay Area’s Brian Witt.

After last season’s breakout, expectations understandably are sky-high for the Niners in Year 4 of the Kyle Shanahan-John Lynch regime.
