Robbie Gould will be sticking around San Francisco for a little while longer.
The 49ers were going to have to make a decision on the kicker's future with the team by Saturday. On Wednesday, the 49ers announced they had agreed to a renegotiated contract with Gould that will keep him with the team through 2022.
ESPN's Adta, Schefter reported the new contract is a two-year, $7.25 million deal.

Gould had one of the worst days of his NFL career Saturday in the 49ers' 20-12 win over the Arizona Cardinals. He missed an extra point and two field goals, allowing the Cardinals to stay alive in the game.
Despite that rough day, Gould remains one of the best and most consistent kickers in the NFL.

Gould, 38, a 16-year NFL veteran, rates fifth all-time in NFL field-goal accuracy at 86.58 percent. In four seasons with the 49ers, Gould has made 88.4 percent of his field-goal attempts (114 of 129).
The 49ers could have saved $3.75 million in salary-cap space for 2021 had they decided to decline Gould's option.
