Pro Football Focus grades 49ers' George Kittle as best tight end ever

The accolades continue to roll in for 49ers tight end George Kittle.

Kittle now has the highest Pro Football Focus grade over a single season for any tight end in the PFF era (since 2006).

The third-year tight end caught 85 passes for 1,053 receiving yards and five touchdowns, tying his career-high set a season ago.

Kittle became the first 49ers' tight end in team history to register back-to-back 1,000-yard receiving seasons in San Francisco's NFC West-clinching, 26-21 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night.

A combination of being the 49ers’ far-and-away No. 1 target and an elite blocker has propelled Kittle into the elite fraternity of NFL tight ends, as this honor clearly indicates.
