Welcome to Sherman Island.
Bragging rights go a long way, especially between two rivals who play the same position. Every slight edge matters, and Richard Sherman now has another one over Darrelle Revis.
Pro Football Focus noted Monday morning that only two cornerbacks over the last decade have allowed a completion rate of less than 50 percent while being targeted 250 or more times: Sherman and Revis. Now it's time for the bragging rights.

Revis allowed a 49.8 percent completion percentage. Sherman, however, was 0.2 percent better. The 49ers' star cornerback allowed a 49.6 percent completion percentage.
To no surprise, yes, Sherman retweeted PFF's tweet.
The two all-time great cornerbacks last shared barbs when Sherman quote tweeted a video of Indianapolis Colts receiver T.Y. Hilton burning Revis when the cornerback played for the New York Jets. Sherman's tweet came after Revis questioned his ability to play man-to-man defense.

Sherman was PFF's highest-graded cornerback last season. He finished the 2019 regular season with 61 tackles, 11 passes defensed and three interceptions. He had PFF's highest coverage grade (90.5) and highest overall grade (90.3) last season, including the playoffs.
Sherman is entering the final season of his three-year contract with the 49ers, and he surely will do anything necessary to prove to Revis and everybody else that he still is at the height of his powers.
