Antonio Brown follows the 49ers on social media day after trade rumors

Social media is everything these days. Everyone knows what you are up to, where you are and even what you're eating. And if you try to delete something, screenshots become your enemy.

But in this case, screenshotting becomes content -- and maybe even a glimpse into the future.

One day after rumors circulated about Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown wanting out of Pittsburgh, the All-Pro wideout followed the 49ers on Instagram:

And on his Twitter account, we noticed Brown started following members of the 49ers: quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, safety Adrian Colbert and tight end George Kittle.

OK, so this may make us sound like we're creepy since we know everything that's going on with these guys' social media accounts, but it's all part of the game so don't judge. Also, if you call it "investigative journalism," we don't get as much of a hard time for that.

Anyway ...

This isn't just a one-way street. George Kittle made his love for the star receiver well known on Twitter late Monday night, and AB responded in a very loving way

Like I said, when something like this is on social media, we can't help but wonder.

Perhaps it's as simple as AB becoming a supporter of Kittle who just broke the NFL season record for receiving yards by a tight end and he wants to follow the team he's on.

It could be a number of things.

Still, it gets you all warm and fuzzy thinking the two could be teammates one day.

But if that doesn't work out, perhaps the 49ers could take a chance on AB's cousin, Marquise "Hollywood" Brown, who just declared for the NFL Draft:
