The 49ers lost an important part of their offense in the first half of the NFC Championship Game against the Packers on Sunday.

A little over five minutes into the second quarter, with the 49ers in the red zone, running back Tevin Coleman took a handoff and picked up four yards.

But Coleman appeared to land awkwardly on his right arm. He stayed down after the play.

Trainers examined Coleman and were able to get him to his feet, but the running back was in considerable pain, so a medical cart was brought out for him.

After Coleman was taken to the locker room, the 49ers initially announced that he was questionable to return with a right shoulder injury, but later ruled him out as the second half was starting.

Coleman finished the game six carries for 21 yards.

On the very next play, fellow running back Raheem Mostert put the 49ers up 17-0 with a 9-yard touchdown run.
