Those players now take a spot on the 49ers' 90-man offseason roster and are eligible to participate in the team's offseason program.
The group is headlined by Tabor, who entered the NFL as a highly touted cornerback. The Detroit Lions selected Tabor in the second round of the 2017 draft with the No. 53 overall selection.
He saw action in 22 games with five starts for the Lions in 2017 and ’18. He registered 42 tackles in his two NFL seasons.
The Lions cut Tabor before the start of the 2019 season. He signed with the 49ers in September, and he remained on the team’s practice squad for the entire season.
