49ers' Raheem Mostert cancels autograph signing due to coronavirus

Raheem Mostert would much rather be safe than sorry when it comes to coronavirus.

With that in mind, the 49ers running back has decided against attending an autograph signing session scheduled for March 8 in Santa Clara.

In explaining his reasoning, Mostert revealed that he and his wife are expecting their second son to arrive this fall.

"As a husband and father, it is my job to put my family first," Mostert wrote.

Mostert essentially made the same decision as Portland Trail Blazers guard C.J. McCollum, who announced Saturday that he will refrain from signing autographs until further notice. That came after the NBA sent a memo to all 30 of its teams containing recommendations as to how to limit the spread of the coronavirus.
