
There were no surprises on the 49ers' inactive list for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons, but San Francisco's tall task on defense is now official.
Cornerback Richard Sherman, safety Jacquiski Tartt and edge rusher Dee Ford are among the players who will not play Sunday at Levi's Stadium.

Coach Kyle Shanahan ruled out each of the inactive defensive players Friday, so the 49ers are prepared for their absences against the Falcons. Still, Sherman, Tartt and Williams have each played on at least 62 percent of the defensive snaps, practically giving the 49ers' defensive backfield an entirely new look.

Here are the Falcons' inactives.
San Francisco can clinch a playoff spot without those aforementioned regulars by beating Atlanta on Sunday. It'll just have to look a bit different than the first 13 games of the season.
