The 49ers’ 2019 season begins in two weeks.
At least the 49ers’ official offseason program will get going in Santa Clara on April 15, the NFL announced on Monday. The dates are set for all teams’ offseason programs.
The 49ers’ first workouts are scheduled to begin on April 15 – the first day teams with returning coaching staffs are allowed to begin Phase I of the offseason conditioning program.

Phase I is limited to only strength and conditioning activities and meeting time for two weeks. Phase II consists of three weeks. Coaches are allowed on the field, but there can be no helmets or pads and no offense vs. defense drills.
After completion of Phases I and II, organized team activities are allowed to take place over the final four weeks of the offseason program. Helmets are permitted but no pads with no live contact during 7-on-7, 9-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills.
OTAs are scheduled to begin May 20 with three practices a week, concluding with the team’s mandatory minicamp from June 11 to June 13.

The 49ers’ rookie minicamp is scheduled to take place May 3-5, the weekend after the NFL draft.
Training camp is scheduled to open in late-July, 15 days before the 49ers’ first preseason game.
