Nose tackle D.J. Jones, who is entering the final year of his contract with the 49ers, has switched representation to Creative Artist Agency, the firm announced on Monday.

Jones is now represented by agents Brian Ayrault and Todd France, according to the NFL Players Association.

Jones is eligible for the first time this offseason to sign a contract extension with the 49ers after playing three years of his original four-year, $2.6 million contract. He is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent next offseason.

The 49ers selected Jones in the sixth round of the 2017 draft with pick No. 198 from Mississippi.

Jones, 25, registered 23 tackles last season while starting all 11 games in which he appeared. Jones went on injured reserve late in the regular season with a high-ankle sprain and did not appear in any postseason games.

Four receivers 49ers could target at No. 11 in 2025 NFL Draft

Jones could take on a greater role in the 49ers' defense this season with the trade that sent DeForest Buckner to the Indianapolis Colts for the No. 13 overall pick. Jones, a two-down player in the past, could see more opportunities to rush the passer on third downs.
