Youboty

Youboty was trying to break up a deep pass to Damian Williams when he went down. He’s questionable to return. The Jags’ already banged-up secondary is getting shredded by the Titans.

Youboty will add depth with Rashean Mathis out for the season. Though he’s been out of the league since August, Youboty has a history with DC Mel Tucker, playing under him at Ohio State.

Rutland will start opposite journeyman Ashton Youboty at corner after Middleton joined would-be starters Rashean Mathis and Derek Cox on injured reserve Saturday. Drew Coleman will remain in the slot. Philip Rivers could be in for his best game of the season on Monday Night Football.

The move is just a formality, as Youboty would have been week-to-week had he suffered his injury earlier in the year. Pressed into extensive duty following a wave of injures to the Jaguars’ cornerback corps, Youboty was abused in coverage. On the street until the Jags signed him in early November, Youboty many not break camp with anybody in 2012.

Philip Rivers exploited new starting CBs Ashton Youboty and rookie free agent Kevin Rutland after Lowery went down with the injury in the second quarter. Even with Lowery returning, this secondary is still going to be one to exploit for fantasy purposes going forward.

The Jags are getting an early start on Monday’s cuts. A seven-year veteran, Youboty started five games for the Jags in 2011. West caught 13 passes for 163 yards and two scores after being signed off the Packers’ practice squad.

His backup is untested second-year man Ashton Youboty. Buffalo has lost key players for substantial time at every defensive position so far this year.

Losman reportedly “looked very limber” moving around on his previously sprained MCL. CB Ashton Youboty (ankle), LB Coy Wire (knee), and DE Ryan Denney (leg) were also back on the field. The Bills are on a bye this week.
