Free agent TE Anthony Hill will visit the Steelers Tuesday.
A fourth-round pick of the Texans in 2009, Hill has appeared in just 12 career games, making only three catches for 19 yards. He boasts enormous size at 6-foot-6, 278 pounds, but has primarily been a blocker. At best, he’d be a camp body for the Steelers.

Colts signed TE Anthony Hill off the Eagles’ practice squad.
With both Dallas Clark (leg) and Brody Eldridge (hand) out indefinitely, the Colts are scrounging for tight end help. Hill, at 6'6/277, will serve as the blocking complement to Jacob Tamme going forward.
  • FA Tight End
Texans TE Anthony Hill (ACL surgery) may miss all of training camp.
We didn’t expect him back for Week 1 in the first place. A 2009 fourth-round pick, Hill was drafted mainly to be a blocker. He’s a PUP candidate.
  • FA Tight End
Texans selected NC State TE Anthony Hill with the No. 122 overall pick in the NFL Draft.
This gives Houston some protection against Owen Daniels, who still hasn’t signed his restricted free agent tender. Hill’s initial impact will come in the running game, but he is an underrated pass catcher. Had he not torn his ACL in 2007, Hill could’ve been a first-day prospect.
  • FA Tight End
Texans signed fourth-round TE Anthony Hill to a four-year, $2.2065 million contract.
Hill was reputed to be one of the best blocking tight ends in the draft, but he’s also showcased nice pass catching ability in OTAs. He won’t be a fantasy factor as long as Owen Daniels around, but will help in the run game and give the Texans a viable every-down option if Daniels gets injured.
  • FA Tight End
Fourth-rounder Anthony Hill is expected to take on Mark Bruener’s former role as the Texans’ blocking tight end.
Hill isn’t without pass catching ability, but he was one of the best blocking tight ends available this year. Hill will compete with Joel Dreessen and fellow rookie James Casey to be the second tight end. Casey has a higher fantasy ceiling, but won’t play much behind Owen Daniels.
  • FA Tight End
Texans rookie TE Anthony Hill has been hospitalized with pneumonia.
The Texans haven’t given a timetable for his release. Hill hasn’t been active in the first three weeks, and he won’t be available this week either.
  • FA Tight End
Texans coach Gary Kubiak revealed Friday that TE Anthony Hill has been diagnosed with Swine Flu.
“Swine Flu” sounds bad, but it isn’t with proper and quick treatment. Hill was originally diagnosed with pneumonia. The rookie is probably day to day.
