Zizic

Zizic will spend next year overseas and it’s possible we’ve seen the last of him in the NBA.

The Cavaliers declined Zizic’s $3.8M option for the 2020-21 season, but it doesn’t mean the Cavs have no interest in bringing him back. In fact, beat writer Chris Fedor reported several months ago that there’s a “strong possibility” they bring him back because of how much they like him, but it’s possible that it hinges on what happens with Andre Drummond’s player option for 2020-21.

Zizic’s minutes were a result of the Cavs’ injury woes, with both Andre Drummond (sore calf) and Tristan Thompson (left knee) out of commission. If he can’t produce with those guys out, he’s not even worth owning in deep leagues.

He’s not going to be in the rotation with the Cavs having so much depth in the frontcourt right now. Leave Zizic on the wire.

It’s great to see he’s over his bout with nausea and dizziness, but Zizic’s opportunity is basically gone with Andre Drummond in the mix and Tristan Thompson still on the roster.

According to the team, after experiencing symptoms of nausea and dizziness, it was determined by the Cavaliers medical team that Zizic requires a period of vestibular rehabilitation to evaluate those symptoms further. Larry Nance’s minutes are back up, so the Cavs will take their time on bringing Zizic back. He could be a deep-league factor if the Cavs do sell off players at the deadline.

This will be his fourth straight game out of the lineup, but Zizic’s playing status doesn’t matter much with Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson healthy. Leave him on the wire.

He is dealing with vertigo and it’s unknown how much time he could miss. Larry Nance could get a couple extra minutes tonight.

This will be his second straight game on the sidelines, which means next to nothing in fantasy hoops.
