  • NBA Small Forward #25
The 10-day contracts for Tyler Cook, Andre Roberson and Iman Shumpert have all expired.
It remains to be seen if any of these three guys will get another deal in Brooklyn. The Nets did bring in Blake Griffin over the break, so there’s no room for fantasy value for these guys anyways.

Andre Roberson will sign a 10-day contract with the Nets.
Iman Shumpert will also get a 10-day deal. With Kevin Durant (hamstring) still on the shelf, Roberson and Shumpert will simply provide emergency depth and are not on the fantasy radar.

  • NBA Shooting Guard #22
Andre Roberson has been waived by the Nets.
Roberson appeared in a pair of games but he’ll be jettisoned prior to the deadline for guaranteeing his contract. It’s great to see him healthy and playing again, and he plans to sign a 10-day deal with Brooklyn after clearing waivers, but he’s not a fantasy asset.

Nets swingman Andre Roberson is available vs. the Suns on Tuesday, according to Alex Schiffer of The Athletic.
Roberson hasn’t played a game since Aug. 2020 and he just signed with Brooklyn on Monday night. It’s doubtful he’ll actually be in the rotation, let alone make a fantasy impact.

Veteran forward Andre Roberson has agreed to sign with the Nets, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
He was a free agent and last played a game on Aug. 14, 2020. But with the Nets struggling on defense, this is a great situation for Roberson to not only make an impact but also play for a contender. He might not log heavy minutes right off the bat and surely won’t provide any fantasy value, but this is a good get for Brooklyn as the 6-foot-7 wing is a former All-Defensive player.

Andre Roberson (right foot soreness) finished Friday’s loss to the Clippers with three points (1-of-9 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), five rebounds, two assists and one blocked shot in 28 minutes.
Roberson had a tough night shooting the ball, but offense isn’t where his value lies. How much he plays in the postseason remains to be seen, because he missed more than two years due to a serious knee injury. That being said Roberson gives the Thunder another quality wing defender, which is essential given the small-ball style that first-round opponent Houston employs.

Andre Roberson (right foot soreness) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Wizards.
Nothing too serious here, as Roberson’s getting the day off to deal with a minor foot issue. Prior to the resumption of the NBA season he hadn’t played in more than two years due to a major knee injury, so it’s understandable that caution would be exercised here. Roberson’s absence likely opens up a couple minutes for Deonte Burton, but not enough to make him a viable fantasy option.

Andre Roberson will move into the starting lineup for Tuesday’s exhibition game, with Chris Paul taking a rest day.
Joining Roberson in the starting five will be Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Luguentz Dort, Danilo Gallinari and Steven Adams. It’s great to see Roberson back on the court, but he typically doesn’t offer much fantasy value outside of being a deep-league steals specialist.

Andre Roberson shot 2-of-3 from beyond the arc in Sunday’s scrimmage, scoring six points with six rebounds, one assist and one steal in 15 minutes.
Roberson’s return after two-and-a-half years away from the sport due to a serious knee injury is one of the feel-good stories of Orlando thus far. His two triples in the fourth quarter capped a 45-16 game-ending run for the Thunder, who came back to beat the 76ers, 102-97. A career 25.7% shooter from three, Roberson has looked better in that regard through two scrimmages. Whether or not he can help the Thunder once the seeding games begin remains to be seen, as the team will likely exercise caution when using him. But his defensive ability would be welcome, as the Thunder struggled defending bigger wings before the NBA season was put on pause in March.

Andre Roberson finally got on the court for the first time in two years, finishing Friday’s scrimmage with five points, two rebounds, one 3-pointer, one steal and one block over 11 minutes.
Roberson underwent knee surgery back in January of 2018, but various setbacks and complications kept him off the court for 909 days. His game doesn’t really translate in fantasy hoops, but it was great to see him take the floor again tonight.
