Chiefs agreed to terms with DL Amon Gordon on a two-year contract.
A journeyman former fifth-round pick, Gordon appeared in all 16 games for the first time in his career last season, tallying 23 tackles and two sacks in just 85 snaps. He’ll be used as a rotational pass-rushing specialist in 2012.

The Broncos reportedly got rid of assistant head coach/defense Jim Bates’ system during their Week 6 bye.
“We just don’t have the personnel to play it,” a Denver insider told FOXSports.com. The addition of Bates and Dre’ Bly excited us in the offseason about Denver’s fantasy defense, but they haven’t delivered. This might be bad news for Broncos middle linebacker D.J. Williams’ statistics.
  • FA Defensive Lineman #99
    Broncos released DT Amon Gordon.
Gordon spent the first three weeks as a starter in Denver, but was deactivated for four of the next five games. The Broncos also officially placed Jarvis Moss on I.R., and signed DEs Josh Mallard, Paul Carrington and Larry Birdine to fill empty roster spots.
  • FA Defensive Lineman #99
Ravens promoted Amon Gordon from the practice squad prior to the Sunday night game against the Colts and waived DT Zarnell Fitch.
Gordon started three games early in the season for the Broncos before a mid-season release. Fitch was added from the practice squad to the active roster on November 21 and could be headed back there if he clears waivers.
  • FA Defensive Lineman #99
    Eagles waived/injured DT Amon Gordon.
He’ll go on injured reserve once he clears waivers. Gordon, 27, tore his Achilles’ tendon at minicamp, but wasn’t going to make the roster anyways.
  • FA Defensive Lineman #99
Eagles DT Amon Gordon will almost certainly miss the season after undergoing surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles’ tendon on Wednesday.
PUP is another option, but Gordon was already a poor bet for a roster spot. This increases Dan Klecko’s chances of staying on as a full-time tackle.
  • DEN Quarterback
The Ravens did not tender QB Cullen Finnerty and DT Amon Gordon, making them unrestricted free agents.
Both were late additions to the roster in 2007. Finnerty, a Grand Valley State product, is not related to the similarly named Duke lacrosse player.
  • BAL Wide Receiver
Ravens waived WR Justin Harper, TE Adam Bergen, QB Casey Bramlet, DT Darrell Campbell, WR Patrick Carter, OG Adrien Clarke, and DT Amon Gordon.
Harper was Baltimore’s seventh-round pick in April. Bramlet’s release leaves the club with one healthy quarterback -- rookie Joe Flacco.
  • FA Defensive Lineman #99
    Ravens re-signed DT Amon Gordon.
Gordon, 26, began 2007 as a starter in Denver, but was unproductive there and got cut. He’ll vie for a roster spot as an end/tackle hybrid in Baltimore.
