  • FA Wide Receiver #17
    Eagles released WR Alshon Jeffery.
Designated a post-June 1 cut, Jeffery had previously restructured his contract to help create more savings for this inevitable move. Now 31, Jeffery endured a disastrous 2019-20 as injury and ineffectiveness fed off of each other. It has been seven years since Jeffery’s most recent 1,000-yard season. Beset by lower-body woes, Jeffery’s explosiveness is just about dried up. He will try to revive his career as a role-playing perimeter winner.

  • FA Wide Receiver #17
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports the Eagles will release Alshon Jeffery when the new league year begins.
Jeffery was a hero in the City of Brotherly Love during the team’s 2017 Super Bowl run but was inexplicably gifted a contract extension two years ago and has since been unable to stay healthy for a full 16-game season. He totaled just six catches for 115 yards and a touchdown last year, recovering from offseason foot surgery at the ripe age of 31. He’ll inevitably join DeSean Jackson as veteran free agents on the open market.

  • FA Wide Receiver #17
Alshon Jeffery is inactive for Week 17 against Washington.
Jeffery joins Miles Sanders, DeSean Jackson, and Dallas Goedert in sitting out the regular season finale. Also inactive are TE Richard Rodgers, CB Michael Jaquet, OT Jordan Mailata, DT Fletcher Cox, and DE Derek Barnett.

  • FA Wide Receiver #17
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo said Alshon Jeffery will be out Sunday night against Washington.
Jeffrey is reportedly “banged up” headed into the regular season finale. The veteran played seven games this season, missing most of the year recovering from offseason foot surgery. Jeffrey had six catches for 115 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles’ lost season. Appearing sluggish upon his return to the lineup, Jeffrey never reasserted himself as the team’s top wideout. He’s scheduled to make $12.75 million for the Eagles in 2021. Jeffrey, 30, has an uphill climb to being fantasy relevant again.

  • FA Wide Receiver #17
Alshon Jeffery caught 2-of-3 targets for 63 yards in Philadelphia’s Week 15 loss to Arizona.
He was actually targeted far more than the box score shows but ended up drawing around 50-yards worth of penalties downfield. Even in finishing with season-highs in catches and receiving yards, Jeffery isn’t on the radar for re-draft leagues in 2020. He’s a better one/two-game DFS option until he inevitably lands elsewhere next year.

  • FA Wide Receiver #17
Alshon Jeffery caught a 15-yard touchdown in the Eagles’ Week 14 win over the Saints.
Jeffery’s second quarter score was his lone target. He caught an excellent front-shoulder pass from Jalen Hurts. Great, though hardly the harbinger of stretch-run fantasy glory. Jeffery will not be a top-60 option for Week 15 vs. the Cardinals.

  • FA Wide Receiver #17
Alshon Jeffery (calf) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Jeffery has zero catches in three of his four games this season. He’s obviously not a fantasy asset.

  • FA Wide Receiver #17
Alshon Jeffery was held without a catch on one target in the Eagles’ Week 13 loss to the Packers.
It was Jeffery’s third catch-less performance in four 2020 appearances. Not even Jalen Hurts’ insertion under center for Week 14 would revive Jeffery’s fantasy viability. Moving on.

  • FA Wide Receiver #17
Alshon Jeffery caught 2-of-4 targets for 15 yards in the Eagles’ Week 12 loss to the Seahawks.
They were Jeffery’s first two catches of the season in his third game back from leg injuries. Jeffery remains well off the fantasy radar and is likely closing out his Eagles career in December.

  • FA Wide Receiver #17
Alshon Jeffery was held without a catch in Week 11 against the Browns.
Jeffery is catchless in both games since his return from a foot injury. He’s behind Dallas Goedert, Jalen Reagor, Travis Fulgham, and Greg Ward for targets.
