Allen Crabbe has signed with the Knicks’ G League affiliate.
Crabbe is still 29 years old but he’s fighting an uphill battle to reclaim an NBA roster spot. He last played for the Wolves and Hawks in 2019-20, averaging 4.6 points on 35.6% shooting, including 30.3% from deep. To generate any interest from NBA teams, he’ll first need to prove his 3-point touch has returned.

The Wolves waived G/F Allen Crabbe.
He’s been out for personal reasons recently, so this news isn’t too surprising. The Wolves have seen Kelan Martin step up as a backup wing to fill Crabbe’s minutes, so Martin should continue to see minutes in the teens. Crabbe will be playoff eligible and should have some interest as an end-of-bench shooter.

Allen Crabbe (personal) won’t play Sunday vs. the Mavs.
Crabbe has not played in over a week due to an undisclosed personal issue. We hope all is well for Crabbe. He should be left on waivers in all fantasy formats.
  • NBA Shooting Guard #9
Allen Crabbe (personal) won’t play vs. Orlando on Friday.
It’s unclear how much time Crabbe might miss, but the Wolves won’t be in a rush since he’s barely in the rotation.
  • NBA Shooting Guard #9
Allen Crabbe (personal) will not play on Wednesday in Miami.
Jake Layman returned to the floor on Monday, so Crabbe might not even have a spot in the rotation once he returns to the team.
  • NBA Shooting Guard #9
Allen Crabbe (personal) will not play on Monday vs. Dallas.
He played a total of 22 minutes in his previous two games, failing to score in each. That sums up his lack of fantasy value and it doesn’t help that Jake Layman (toe) is back.
  • NBA Shooting Guard #9
Allen Crabbe (personal) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Nuggets.
He’s only averaging minutes in the lower teens, so his absence from the active roster won’t have a dramatic effect in fantasy hoops.
  • NBA Shooting Guard #9
Allen Crabbe accounted for three points (1-of-2 3-pointers) and two assists in 17 minutes Saturday vs. the Clippers.
Crabbe played four more minutes Saturday than he did in Wednesday’s loss to the Hawks, but that’s not enough to make him a player worth picking up in any league. Leave him on the waiver wire.
  • NBA Shooting Guard #9
Allen Crabbe (left knee) scored two points with one rebound and one turnover in 13 minutes against the Hawks on Wednesday.
The Wolves likely won’t be giving him extra minutes unless there’s a fire sale on Thursday. Crabbe can stay on the wire in just about all leagues.
  • NBA Shooting Guard #9
Allen Crabbe (left knee) is available for Wednesday against the Hawks.
The Wolves could use him tonight with so many of their players getting traded. Coach Ryan Saunders said that he could run a wing-heavy lineup, and Crabbe could have a shot at minutes in the 20s. He’s still only a deep-league stream right now.
