Fudge

Fudge, who began last season with the Lakers and was waived on January 6, inked a two-way contract with the Mavericks in early March. However, Dallas waived him on August 8, with the Lakers signing the 6-foot-9 forward to an Exhibit 10 contract on Thursday. One day late, he’s been waived by the Lakers for a second time, likely meaning Fudge will be with the team’s G League affiliate if another NBA team doesn’t claim his rights. This transaction will not impact fantasy basketball.

The decision to waive Fudge leaves Dallas with two two-way contract recipients, Brandon Williams and the recently signed Kessler Edwards. Waived by the Lakers in early January, Fudge signed a two-way deal with the Mavericks in early March and did not factor into the team’s rotation. He’ll look to catch on with another NBA team.

Dallas had an open two-way spot, and Monday was the deadline to sign players to two-way deals. Fudge will likely spend most of his time in the G-League, so this won’t have much of an impact on fantasy basketball.

Fudge has spent most of the season in the G-League and has only played in four NBA games this year. The Lakers’ rotation won’t be impacted by this move.
