Jordan Ford finished Sunday’s 102-86 loss to Miami with 22 points (8-of-13 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), four rebounds, two steals, and four 3-pointers in 27 minutes.
After spending last season on a two-way contract, Ford faces an uphill battle for a camp invite, with Sacramento having already allocated its three available slots. While Sunday’s scoring production was encouraging, one would like to see more from Ford in the assist category (zero vs. Miami). In a similar position this summer is Adonis Arms, who chipped in with 14 points, four rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block, and one 3-pointer in 26 minutes. While Arms and Ford are representing the Kings, they’re auditioning for all 30 NBA teams.
  • NBA Small Forward #25
Adonis Arms finished Saturday’s win over the Lakers with 32 points (12-of-17 FGs, 7-of-8 FTs), 11 rebounds, five assists, two steals, and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes.
Arms may not have been the headliner ahead of Saturday’s summer league opener, but he was the best player on the court. Having spent the last two seasons playing in the G League, the former Texas Tech standout was one of the most experienced players in the game, and it showed. Arms got whatever he wanted offensively and was impactful as a rebounder and defender. While he is playing for the Kings’ summer league outfit, Arms is effectively auditioning for all 30 NBA teams. Saturday’s performance should make a positive impression on league scouts and decision-makers.
  • FA Shooting Guard #0
The Grizzlies have waived Shaquille Harrison, Adonis Arms, and David Johnson.
With these moves, the Grizzlies have finalized their Opening Night roster. Harrison was the most experienced of the trio as far as NBA action was concerned, but there wasn’t room on the roster despite Memphis not having Ja Morant for the first 25 games of the regular season. The exits of Harrison, Arms, and Johnson will not impact fantasy basketball.
  • Point Guard #38
The Suns cut Saben Lee, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot and Adonis Arms on Saturday.
All three were trying to make the team on a camp invite but didn’t make the cut. Lee and TLC might both end up on NBA rosters at some point this season.

  • Point Guard #38
The Suns have signed free-agent guards Saben Lee and Adonis Arms.
Lee (Jazz) and Arms (Nuggets) were waived last week, and they’ve now got another shot at earning a guaranteed contract. Even if one of them were to stick in Phoenix, it’s unlikely that either would play enough to be of value to a fantasy roster.

  • Small Forward #20
The Nuggets are waiving Exhibit 10 contract recipient Adonis Arms.
According to DNVR’s Harrison Wind, the Nuggets are expected to sign another player to an Exhibit 10 contract very soon. As for Arms, the undrafted rookie out of Texas Tech did not appear in either of Denver’s first two games. This transaction clears the way for Arms to join the Nuggets’ G League affiliate in Grand Rapids.
