Harris started all 16 games last season with Jonas Jennings out for the year. Snyder, a third-round pick in 2005, started eight and can also play guard.

This is his second straight week starting over Chilo Rachal, and he profiles as a better pass blocker than run blocker. After a successful week in Philly the Niners coaching staff isn’t looking to change things up.

Although prone to injury, the athletic Bell would be an upgrade on recently released Levi Brown if the Cardinals can sign him. Snyder could be an alternative to Scott at right guard or a bridge at right tackle.

Snyder’s best asset is his versatility, not his talent level. He’s played every position on the offensive line in his career and could immediately compete for the starting right guard job in Arizona. Snyder can also be a backup at center and at tackle, where the Cardinals just released Levi Brown.

Trainers are working on his leg, and Snyder doesn’t look happy about it. His replacement, Chilo Rachal, promptly allowed a sack and pushed Frank Gore into a chop-block penalty that negated a 75-yard touchdown to Ted Ginn. Snyder was in and out of the game before being ruled out for good in the third quarter.

Others believed to have turned down an offer are RG Adam Snyder, TE Delanie Walker, ILB Larry Grant, and S C.J. Spillman. Brooks has expressed an interest in staying with the 49ers long-term, but he apparently wasn’t thrilled with the team’s offer.

Snyder missed last week’s game against the 49ers, too. Rich Ohrnberger started in his place and gave up three quarterback hurries, according to Pro Football Focus. Snyder has been a colossal disappointment this year after signing a five-year contract in the offseason. Arizona has a Week 10 bye, so he could return after then.

Arizona beat writer Kent Somers says it would be a “surprise” if Snyder played on Monday night against the 49ers. Snyder has graded out as Pro Football Focus’ worst guard in the NFL this season, so his loss shouldn’t be a huge blow. Rich Ohrnberger or Pat McQuistan would likely step into the starting lineup.

Former starter Chilo Rachal has come on to replace Snyder. It’s not a major downgrade.

Edwards is on track to return to game action after running short, intermediate and deep routes at top speed in practice. Edwards isn’t a great fantasy bet for Week 8 against the Browns, but he’s an interesting stash for receiver-needy owners. Also returning Tuesday were RG Adam Snyder (stinger), OLB Parys Haralson (hamstring) and CB Tramaine Brock (hand).
