Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Puka Nacua is considered “week-to-week” after aggravating his knee injury in a Week 1 loss to the Lions.

Schefter notes that Nacua is still undergoing individual testing. The results of that testing will obviously go a long ways into determining Nacua’s status going forward, but the wideout looked to be dealing with a good amount of pain before leaving the SNF overtime loss. If the 23-year-old wideout isn’t able to go, Cooper Kupp will again be a target hot in Week 2 against the Cardinals.
Lamar Jackson

BAL Quarterback #8

Jim Harbaugh declined to answer why Lamar Jackson missed Monday’s practice ahead of Week 2 against the Raiders.

“We had a number of guys that weren’t out there — some personal, some physical,” Harbaugh said after practice. “So, injury report comes out Wednesday afternoon, so you’ll be better advised on that day regarding all those guys.” Well then. There was no sign of injury for Jackson after Thursday’s season opener, but obviously this is a situation that needs to be closely monitored by fantasy managers.
Josh Allen

BUF Quarterback #17

Josh Allen (hand) has been cleared to practice and will play Thursday in Week 2 against the Dolphins.

No real surprise, but still nice to see. Allen’s left-hand/wrist was heavily taped after Week 1’s win over the Cardinals, but the 28-year-old superstar believed he avoided a serious injury, and it appears that he did just that. Allen is an obvious QB1 for Thursday’s tilt against the Dolphins.
Rome Odunze

CHI Wide Receiver #15

Rome Odunze will undergo an MRI on his knee Monday.

Odunze was held to just one catch in his NFL debut on four targets, but he played on 77 percent of the snaps during Sunday’s game. Adam Teicher of the Chicago Tribune passes down that the injury is believed to have been suffered on a blocking attempt. Obviously fantasy managers will want to play close attention to the results of the imaging, and his status gong forward will largely be determined by those results.
Tyjae Spears

TEN Running Back #2

Titans head coach Brian Callahan said he wants the backfield to be “a little more even” between Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears.

Pollard was the clear RB1 in Week 1 against the Bears. He out-touched Spears 19 to 8, with Spears playing just 44 percent of the offensive snaps. Spears rushed for 21 yards on four attempts and caught four passes for 11 yards against the Bears. Pollard had 82 yards and a touchdown on the ground, along with three receptions for 12 yards. Pollard — who averaged a solid 4.2 yards after contact per rush against Chicago — will likely remain the Titans’ primary ball carrier while Spears might see more passing game involvement going forward.
Daniel Jones

NYG Quarterback #8

Giants head coach Brian Daboll said Daniel Jones will start in Week 2 against the Commanders.

“There were some good things but there were a lot of things we need to improve on,” Daboll said Monday. “We can all do a better job.” Jones was a total disaster in his first game after last year’s ACL injury. He completed 22 of his 42 attempts for 186 yards and two picks, one for a touchdown. Jones’ 4.8 air yards per pass was the third lowest in Week 1, and his completion rate over expected was fourth worst. Look for Drew Lock to get a shot under center if Jones struggles against an atrocious Washington defense in Week 2.
David Njoku

CLE Tight End #85

Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said David Njoku (ankle) is week to week.

Njoku sustained a high ankle sprain in the second half of the Browns’ Week 1 loss to Dallas. It sounds like he could miss at least the team’s Week 2 game against the Jaguars. That would leave Jordan Akins, the only other Cleveland tight end to log a pass routes against the Cowboys, to operate as the team’s No. 1 tight end. Akins caught two of three targets on Sunday for 27 yards.
Jake Ferguson

DAL Tight End #87

ESPN’s Todd Archer reports Jake Ferguson (knee) could play in Week 2 against the Saints.

It’s an about-face from an earlier ESPN report that said Ferguson would miss some time after leaving Week 1’s win over the Browns with an MCL injury. That he has a shot to suit up in Week 2 likely means Ferguson is a good bet to return in Week 3 or Week 4 at the latest. His practice participation will be worth monitoring in the next few days.

CAR Defensive Lineman #95

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports Panthers DL Derrick Brown (knee) could miss the remainder of the regular season.

Brown in Week 1 against the Saints sustained an injury to his meniscus. He’ll require surgery and could be out for much of the season. It’s a brutal blow to a Carolina defense that was shredded by Derek Carr and the Saints on opening day. Without Brown, the Panthers almost certainly have the NFL’s worst pass rush.
Puka Nacua

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Puka Nacua will undergo testing on his injured right knee.

Nacua tried to play through the ailment on Sunday night against the Lions but was eventually carted to the locker room and did not return to action. It’s the same knee Nacua injured during training camp. Monday’s testing on the knee could give the Rams some kind of timeline as to when (or if) Nacua can return. With Nacua sidelined in Week 1, Cooper Kupp saw 22 targets, or a 50 percent target share.
