Garafolo said this news comes after Garrett made his request for a trade public on Monday morning. The Browns have been adamant about their desire to keep Garrett with the team for the entirety of his career, but that could prove difficult. The star pass rusher has officially requested a trade from the team in hopes of having a chance to compete for a Super Bowl, and the Browns, who currently hold the No. 2 overall pick in this year’s draft, are nowhere near said goal. At just 29 years old, Garrett could still fetch the Browns plenty of draft capital via a trade. They would be wise to listen to any offers as they near what appears to be a rebuild following their 3-14 finish last season.
  • JAX Front Office
Boselli played seven seasons for the Jaguars and is a member of the 2022 Hall of Fame class. The former left tackle has assisted in the Jaguars’ latest coaching and GM search and is expected to form a “football leadership unit” consisting of himself, head coach Liam Coen, and a general manager who has yet to be named. The expectation is that all three will report directly to owner Shad Khan, who is hoping this latest round of front office turnover will last more than two seasons. Boselli has never held an official front office position but has worked closely with the organization for years.
  • LAR Coaching Staff
Scheelhaase interviewed with the Jaguars on Wednesday. Wilson added that “multiple NFL sources” believe the Jaguars will hire Scheelhaase in the coming days. The 34-year-old offensive assistant/passing game specialist last served as an offensive coordinator for Iowa State during the 2023 season. That season, his offense ranked 72nd in the nation in points per game (26.2) and 81st in yards per game (364.9). After spending six seasons at Iowa State, Scheelhaase joined the Rams last offseason but could again be on the move in the coming days with the Jaguars reportedly closing in on an offer.
  • PIT Quarterback #3
Wilson has already expressed interest in returning to the Steelers next season. Despite him staying “focused” on the team, the fact remains that the 36-year-old quarterback is set to be a free agent this offseason and is anything but a lock to return to the team. Wilson threw for 2,482 yards, 16 touchdowns, and five interceptions in his first season with the Steelers. He helped lead them to the postseason for the fourth time in five seasons, but the Steelers also ended the year on a five-game losing streak. Wilson has been rumored as a likely stopgap option for the Raiders at quarterback now that Pete Carroll is in town, but we’re still months away from seeing any rumors come to fruition. It wouldn’t be surprising if the Steelers did find themselves in a small bidding war with another team or two for Wilson’s services.
  • CHI Coaching Staff
Bieniemy joins Ben Johnson’s staff in Chicago amidst a complete retool of the coaching ranks. He coached for the UCLA Bruins in 2024 after a one-year stint as the offensive coordinator for the Commanders and a five-year stint with the Chiefs during the early portion of Patrick Mahomes’ career. The hiring appears to be a leap of faith by the Bears after Bieniemy was fired after just one season in each of his previous two positions across multiple levels, with Bieniemy now looking to reestablish a coaching presence in the NFL.
  • DAL Offensive Coordinator
The Cowboys moved quickly with Adams, giving him a virtual interview earlier this week before meeting in person with him today. Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones previously stressed the importance of the run game when talking about what the team was looking for in an offensive coordinator. Adams served as Arizona’s offensive line coach for two seasons. The team ranked ninth and seventh in rush yards per game. The next step in the Cowboys’ efforts to improve their ground game will be retooling their backfield. Ezekiel Elliott was cut before the end of the season and Rico Dowdle is a free agent, leaving the team with a massive opening at running back.
  • PHI Offensive Coordinator
Moore has already interviewed with the Saints twice. As Pelissero notes, a third meeting can’t happen until after the Super Bowl, hence the timing. The Super Bowl is also conveniently located in New Orleans, making an in-person visit a small ask for Moore. It’s been reported multiple times that Moore is the favorite to land the Saints opening. A third meeting all but confirms that. Dolphins DC Anthony Weaver and Giants OC Mike Kafka have both had multiple interviews with the Saints and are still in the mix.
  • NYJ Offensive Coordinator
According to ESPN’s Rich Cimini, Engstrand’s “anticipated departure from Detroit is complete.” He adds that “barring something unforeseen,” Engstrand will be named as Aaron Glenn’s offensive coordinator. Engstrand has worked with the Lions since 2020 and was named passing game coordinator in 2023. He has worked closely with former Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and should have plenty to offer an offense that is hoping to improve on last year’s 24th-place finish in both points and yards per game. The Jets have a lot to figure out on offense as far as Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams are concerned, but Engstrand should get a decent leash from Glenn, who is no stranger to the work that goes into turning a franchise around.
  • CAR Wide Receiver #19
Thielen is entering the final year of a three-year deal he signed with the Panthers back in 2023 but can be cut for a dead cap hit of $5 million. The soon-to-be 35-year-old receiver caught 48 passes for 615 yards and five touchdowns in just 10 games while averaging 12.8 YPR — his highest mark since 2019. His 62 targets were second only to Xavier Legette’s 84 but Legette appeared in six more games than Thielen. A savvy route runner who continues to stay a step ahead of Father Time, Thielen has a chance to remain the Panthers’ WR1 in 2025 if he returns to the team. Regardless of where he plays, it sounds like any conversations around a possible retirement have been shelved for at least one more year.
  • ARI Coaching Staff
This is a second interview for Adams, who spoke with the team remotely earlier this week. Considered by many to be the frontrunner to land the Cowboys’ offensive coordinator vacancy, there’s a good chance Adams will find himself in a new role before the weekend. The Cowboys’ rushing game needs more than an upgrade at offensive coordinator, but this is a backfield that is expected to see a massive overhaul during the offseason with Ezekiel Elliott no longer in the building and Rico Dowdle set to hit free agency.
