  • HOU Wide Receiver #12
Personalize your Rotoworld feed by favoriting players
Collins, who tied John Metchie for the team lead in targets, caugh Houston’s lone passing score on an inside-the-ten slant from C.J. Stroud in the first half. Collins also had a 41-yard grab against a Chargers coverage unit that has been stingy for much of the season. Houston’s sputtering offense is going to have to run through Collins if the Texans are going to make a deep postseason run. OC Bobby Slowik’s refusal to go pass heavy means Collins’ opportunities could be limited in any game script, however.
  • LAC Quarterback #10
Herbert’s -0.62 EPA per drop back against Houston was among the worst marks in league history. Not every pick was his fault, but Herbert’s four interceptions were more than he had all season. Coming into the Wild Card Round, he had thrown just one pick over his past 12 games. Under constant duress — Herbert was sacked four times — he was rushed on nearly every drop back. His lone touchdown came on an 86 yard catch and run score by Ladd McConkey. Herbert in 2024 was ninth in passing yards and 12th in passing touchdowns. Only four quarterbacks had a better adjusted yards per attempt. Herbert showed some fantasy-based upside in the last half of the season with the Chargers going pass heavy following a massively run-heavy start to the regular season. He seemed to have good chemistry with rookie McConkey and Quentin Johnston. Herbert will enter 2025 as a decent top-15 fantasy option unless the Chargers use him as a rusher more.
  • HOU Quarterback #7
Stroud was slightly less inaccurate than he has been this season in Houston’s upset win over the Chargers. He got it done on the ground, converting two critical third downs with his legs and firing up the Texans and their fans. Stroud targeted Nico Collins an team-high eight times and threw he lone touchdown to Collins on a nicely placed pass inside the ten yard line. Stroud still had a few baffling throws. That included a sideline interception in the first half with no Houston pass catcher within ten yards of the ball. Stroud, who had the league’s second lowest EPA per play from Week 9-18, will have to play better if the Texans are to advance further into the postseason.
  • HOU Running Back #28
Mixon, along with the rest of the Texans offense, was nowhere to be found in the first half. He was fed the football in the second half after Houston took a multi-score lead against a collapsing Chargers team that committed four turnovers on the day. Mixon grinded his way past the 100-yard rushing mark for the first time since Week 13 after a slow end to the regular season. The game-script sensitive Mixon requires neutral and positive script to get there for fantasy purposes, and that won’t change in the Divisional Round as the Texans likely hit the road against stiffer competition.
  • LAC Running Back #27
Dobbins was stuffed early and often against a Houston front seven that has snuffed out opposing rushing attacks for most of the season. He was not targeted in the season-ending loss. The 2024 campaign was a career-revival season for Dobbins after suffering back-to-back season-ending injuries as a member of the Ravens. He quickly emerged in LA as the team’s lead back, gaining 905 yards and scoring nine touchdowns on the ground while catching 32 passes for 153 yards. Dobbins was efficient enough with a 4.6 yards per carry, though his breakaway long speed has definitely diminished from his early years in Baltimore. Dobbins showed enough in 2024 to draw interest in free agency this spring. Entering his age-27 season, Dobbins — an unrestricted free agent — has a chance to stick with longtime OC Greg Roman if he doesn’t get a shot to function as a lead back elsewhere.
  • LAC Wide Receiver #15
McConkey dominated targets in the LA offense, as he’s done for most of the past couple months. It was the most yards by a rookie in a playoff game in NFL history. Missing one game in his rookie seasons, McConkey was 23rd in wideout targets, ninth in receiving yards, and 15th in receiver receptions in a Chargers offense that was pass-first in the season’s final eight weeks. He operated primarily from the slot and earned Justin Herbert’s early on. He had five games with more than 90 receiving yards and seven games with at least six catches, demonstrating an ability to get open and find the soft spots in zone coverage throughout the season. If the Bolts remain pass heavy in 2025, McConkey could be viewed as a top-15 fantasy receiver in PPR formats. At worst, he would profile as a safe weekly option.
  • FA Coaching Staff
“Barring something unforeseen,” Vrabel, who played for the Patriots from 2001 to 2008, will be New England’s next head coach after the team parted ways with Jerod Mayo after the 2024 regular season. Vrabel’s Titans teams went 54-45 over six seasons, with three playoff berths. Among the most hard nosed, conservative coaches in football, Vrabel appears locked in for the job a year after losing out to Mayo, who took over for legendary head coach Bill Belichick. Vrabel’s first priority will be finding an offensive coordinator who can get the most out of Drake Maye and a receivers room bereft of talent.
  • MIN Running Back #33
Jones has been managing a quad injury for almost a month now, something that has capped his practice reps through the start of playoff preparations. He again sheds an injury designation on the team’s final injury report of the week as the Vikings prepare to face the Rams in Arizona for Wildcard Weekend.
  • PIT Quarterback #2
The Steelers have toyed around with specific packages for Fields throughout the season after he filled in as the starter for the injured Russell Wilson to begin the season. Up to this point, their hand has typically been played face up with Fields on the field, so it will be interesting to see the extent of his packages against the Ravens. Instilled as 9.5-point road underdogs in the Wildcard Round, the Steelers have nothing to lose as they chase an opening round upset.
  • WAS Quarterback #5
Daniels was pulled from the Commanders’ Week 18 game against the Cowboys after suffering the quad injury. Washington had little to play for and head coach Dan Quinn said he wasn’t concerned after the game. Three full practices for Daniels this week confirm his optimism. Even as an underdog, the impending Offensive Rookie of the Year will be one of the best fantasy options for the opening round of the playoffs.
