  • KC Wide Receiver #5
Personalize your Rotoworld feed by favoriting players
Brown practiced in full throughout the week and will now make his Chiefs debut on Saturday versus the Texans. The Chiefs will ease Brown back into the lineup, keeping him off the fantasy radar for Week 16. However, his return makes already thin bets in Xavier Worthy and DeAndre Hopkins that much worse for fantasy purposes. Hopkins has been a part-time player since joining the Chiefs and now there’s even more of a threat to his routes. Xavier Worthy, on the other hand, runs all of the routes but rarely sees WR1 usage. His 11-target outing in Week 15 will keep him in the WR3 ranks for Saturday’s matchup with Houston.
  • NO Wide Receiver #12
Olave’s continued limited participation at least bodes positively for his overall health. Assuming he returns for his team’s Week 16 Monday Night Football matchup against the Packers is likely premature though. The Saints have handled his situation with an abundance of caution thus far.
  • LAR Tight End #89
Higbee was activated from injured reserve earlier this week but then missed Thursday’s practice with an illness. He returned to the field on Friday and is ready to make his 2024 debut after missing the first three months of the season while recovering from the torn ACL he suffered in January. With Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp dominating the targets in LA, Higbee won’t crack the TE2 ranks for Week 16.
  • MIA Wide Receiver #10
Hill was listed as a DNP on Wednesday, though that’s not anything too unusual for the veteran receiver. Things appeared to be normal after he got back for a full session on Thursday. Miami threw us a curveball on their final injury report, listing Hill as questionable after a limited session. Hill has been playing through the wrist injury all season. Even as it got worse a month ago, he never missed any time. We expect him to suit up this week, though fantasy managers need to check in on his status before kickoff. Malik Washington is now a priority add off the waiver wire. The rookie was already set for a larger role with Jaylen Waddle listed as doubtful. He could now be the team’s No. 1 receiver for the fantasy football semifinals.
  • SF Running Back #31
Patrick Taylor is the next man up for Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers. He was the only back other than Guerendo to see an offensive snap last week, though he didn’t earn a touch. We could also see Israel Abanikanda and Ke’Shawn Vaughn, though Taylor is the clear starter. The deeper into the depth chart San Francisco goes the harder it is for fantasy managers to trust their starting running back. Still, Taylor is the starting running back for a Shanahan offense that is still clinging to the slimmest of playoff odds. He narrowly cracks the top 24 at his position this week.
  • FA Wide Receiver #18
The move became inevitable after the team excused him from practice this week. He was previously suspended for a week after refusing to enter Week 13’s game against the Eagles. The team seemingly wanted to patch things up with the disgruntled receiver despite his antics, but the relationship was already broken beyond repair following his suspension. Johnson’s time in Baltimore ends with one catch for six yards. He will be subject to waivers. A contending team will almost certainly take a flyer on him even after the failed Ravens stint.
  • TB Tight End #88
Otton is averaging 2.5 catches for 36 since Mike Evans returned to the lineup and a bum knee isn’t going to help his cause. Even if he suits up, Otton is buried in the TE2 ranks for Week 16. Ko Kieft and Payne Durham would see extra reps at tight end if Otton is out, though neither would crack to the top 24 fantasy tight ends.
  • NYJ Running Back #20
Interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich said Hall is “rolling for Week 16. Hall is off the injury report entirely for the first time in a few weeks, indicating that he is in a better spot health-wise than he was heading into Week 15’s game against the Jags. Hall only ran nine times for 30 yards in that game while catching two passes. His role could grow in Week 16, but fantasy managers should still treat him as an RB2 with the expectation that Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis each get a few touches.
  • CLE Tight End #85
Njoku only logged one practice this week, but head coach Kevin Stefanski said the team will see how he responds to practice before making a decision on his Week 16 availability. Njoku’s return would be great for the Browns and his fantasy managers, but it’s hard to ignore the downgrade that comes with Dorian Thompson-Robinson under center. If he’s active, Njoku should be viewed as more of a fringe TE1/TE2 than a must-start TE1.
  • PHI Wide Receiver #11
Brown was added to the injury report with a knee issue this week, though the team also listed him as getting a rest day, so there never seemed to be much risk of him sitting on Sunday. He told reporters on Friday that the knee injury won’t affect him before saying point blank, “I’m playing.” Brown remains in the WR1 ranks for Philly’s NFC East showdown with Washington this week.
