  • NYG Quarterback #15

DeVito could play through the forearm injury he sustained during last week’s loss to the Bucs. Before the injury, DeVito completed 21 of 31 passes for 189 yards and rushed for 32 yards. He’ll likely funnel short targets for Malik Nabers against a soft Dallas defense on Thanksgiving if he can play. Drew Lock would get the start if DeVito can’t go.
  • IND Wide Receiver #1
Steichen said it would be “tough” for Downs to suit up against the Patriots after sustaining a shoulder injury last week against Detroit. Michael Pittman, Adonai Mitchell, and Alec Pierce would likely see increases in snaps and targets if Downs — the Colts’ clear No. 1 wideout — is sidelined against the Patriots. Hopefully this is not a long-term injury for Downs.
  • NYJ Running Back #20
Hall won’t practice Wednesday after reporting knee soreness following the Jets’ bye week. Hall, who had 151 total yards and two scores in Week 11 against the Colts, seems iffy for Week 13. Braelon Allen would likely work as the Jets’ lead back against Seattle if Hall were to miss the game. Allen should be rostered in 12-team formats.
  • MIN Quarterback #8
Jones will look to rehabilitate his NFL career with quarterback-centric head coach Kevin O’Connell, who has helped Sam Darnold get back on track in 2024 after floundering for years in Carolina and San Francisco. Jones, who last week asked for his release from the Giants after being benched for Tommy DeVito, will likely serve as Darnold’s backup for the remainder of the season. Inaccurate and unwilling to push the ball downfield during his time in New York, Jones, 27, was 28th out of 35 qualifying quarterbacks in drop back EPA before being benched by head coach Brian Daboll in Week 12. He’s all but locked in to a career backup role.
  • LAC Running Back #27
Dobbins, who sustained a knee sprain last week against the Ravens, could miss more than this Sunday’s game against Atlanta, according to Rapoport. Gus Edwards will likely operate as the Chargers’ lead back with Dobbins sidelined, and rookie Kimani Vidal could take on pass game work. Hassan Haskins, meanwhile, will threaten Edwards’ goal line role. Edwards is nothing more than a touchdown-dependent RB2 for Week 13.
  • NO Tight End #7
“I think our usage with him these last couple weeks is really what we’re kind of trying to trend towards,” Rizzi said Tuesday. “A little bit of everything, not too much of anything. He’s obviously a huge part of what we do… The more he’s on the field, the more effective we’ve been, in all the times I’ve been here.” Coming off a 138 yard, three-touchdown performance against the Browns in Week 11, Hill — who has 31 touches over his past three games — seems locked in for double digit touches this week against a soft Rams defense. Against the Browns, Hill ran a route on 18 of the team’s 28 drop backs. He should be considered a top-10 fantasy option for now.
  • NO Wide Receiver #12
Rizzi added that Olave has seen several specialists and has another appointment coming up soon. The earliest Olave could come off IR is in Week 15. He was seen observing practice today — the Saints are taking Thursday off — but until he practices or we hear something more firmly optimistic about this season, we wouldn’t hold out hope of Olave playing again in 2024.
  • WAS Running Back #36
That may as well be a glaring siren that at least one of Austin Ekeler (concussion) and Brian Robinson Jr. (ankle) are going to be hard to trust this week. Jeremy McNichols is the only healthy back on the Commanders roster. It’s possible that Rodriguez gets as far up the pecking order as lead committee back this week if both Ekeler and Robinson sit. He’s a potentially worthwhile waiver claim in deeper leagues.
  • DET Running Back #5
Combine the upgrade from a Monday DNP with Dan Campbell saying he was feeling good about Montgomery’s chances and we have a much more optimistic outlook on Montgomery playing in Week 13 than we did 24 hours ago. Montgomery will be on the RB1 line against the Bears in what projects as a decisive Lions win.
  • NYJ Quarterback #8
Rodgers likely won’t have much say in the matter with the Jets as the team’s new general manager and head coach will be given the keys to do what they want at the quarterback position. The idea that Rodgers could retire is also an unsurprising flag to raise given the punishment his 40-year-old body has taken this year, as well as his need to feel like he has agency in his future destination. We’re genuinely curious at this point if any team would want to have Rodgers as a stopgap in 2025.
