  • LAC Running Back #27

Big if true. Dobbins hasn’t played since suffering a knee injury in Week 12’s loss to the Ravens, but would slide into a heavy workload if he’s activated this week. Gus Edwards (ankle) has already been ruled out of Saturday’s contest, and rookie Kimani Vidal only saw a 12 percent opportunity share from Weeks 13-16. The Patriots have allowed the 11th-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs in their last five games. Dobbins would profile as a volume-based RB2 if active.
  • ARI Running Back #6
Conner was hit with a questionable tag after the Cardinals’ final practice of the week, but Breer reports the team expects him to play against the Rams, who are still battling for their playoff lives in the NFC. Rookie Trey Benson’s (ankle) status is considered “up in the air,” according to Breer, but even if he is active, it’s hard to imagine him having much of an impact with Conner also on the field. Conner will profile as a fringe RB1/RB2 against a Rams defense that’s allowed the 12th-most PPR points per game to opposing RBs since Week 12.
  • SEA Quarterback #7
We won’t be held responsible for how atrocious this football game was. The Seahawks do get the win and stay alive in their bid to win the NFC West. Smith should have had another red zone interception but it was dropped, and he made almost no plays down the field in a rainy Thursday night contest. He’ll be under center against the Rams in Week 18.
  • ATL Wide Receiver #5
That’s two straight limited practices for London, who suffered his injury in the Falcons’ Week 16 win over the Giants. The Falcons’ WR1 appears to be on track to play in the pivotal Week 17 matchup against the Commanders, but we’ll know for sure when the team releases its final injury report on Friday.
  • NO Running Back #41
Interim head coach Darren Rizzi said on Tuesday that a decision on Kamara would be made “later in the week,” but the veteran running back has been a DNP for both practices to open the week. With his knee injury reportedly being worse than initially expected, Kamara missing the remainder of the season remains a strong possibility. We’ll see if things change on Friday, but for now, Kamara seems unlikely to play in Week 17 against the Raiders.
  • NO Wide Receiver #12
Olave has now been listed as a full participant in both practices this week and is trending toward a return in Week 17 against the Raiders. The third-year receiver has dealt with multiple concussions this season but will try to salvage what’s left of 2024 with two games left on the schedule. If he’s active, Olave would profile as a fringe WR2/WR3 with Spencer Rattler under center.
  • ARI Running Back #6
It was reported earlier that Conner was making “good” progress on his rehab from a knee injury he suffered in last week’s loss to the Panthers. After being limited in all three practices this week, Conner will have a chance to play in Week 17’s game against the Rams, but fantasy managers will want to have other backup plans in place. Conner should be a strong volume play against the Rams if he suits up, but it’s hard to know how much this knee issue may hinder his on-field performance.
  • CIN Wide Receiver #5
Higgins was limited in practice throughout the week and will now carry a questionable status into a pivotal matchup against the Broncos. Higgins exited Week 16’s game with an apparent ankle injury but returned a few plays later and finished out the game. Assuming this is the same injury, we would expect him to be on the field Saturday, but his status will be one to monitor when teams announce inactives 90 minutes before kickoff.
  • PHI Quarterback #7
This news comes from Pickett, who spoke with the media after practice. The third-year quarterback is dealing with a rib injury he picked up in last week’s loss to the Commanders but said the injury is something he will “have to deal with.” Jalen Hurts (concussion) appears unlikely to start Week 17 against the Cowboys after missing his second-straight practice. Pickett drawing the start against the Cowboys means both A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith will receive significant downgrades for the fantasy football championships.
  • DAL Wide Receiver #88
Fantasy managers still fighting for championships in Week 17 are in shambles. After battling through a shoulder injury for weeks, the Cowboys have opted to shelve Lamb for the remainder of the season in what is the most pivotal matchup of the year for fantasy managers. The team released a statement following the decision, saying, “Additional examinations and scans this week on Lamb’s shoulder have determined that his injury has now progressed to a point that he will be listed as ‘Out’ for the remaining two games of the season.” Despite his injury and the loss of Dak Prescott midway through the season, Lamb still performed at a high level for the Cowboys. His season ends with a line of 101-1194-6 on 152 targets and three 100-yard performances. Lamb’s 11.8 YPR on the season set a new career low, but the decrease can be attributed to the switch from Prescott to Cooper Rush, as the offense became much more limited with Rush under center. Lamb is not expected to undergo surgery at this time but will instead look to go through rehab and treatment for his shoulder.
