How healthy Nabers really is after tweaking his groin in Friday’s practice is an open question. On the other hand, the tanking Giants aren’t really in position to be pushing anything. If Nabers is going, it’s probably because the injury was a legitimate tweak. We feel fine starting Nabers across the board despite his dicey quarterback situation with Tommy DeVito under center. Inactive for the G-Men are S Anthony Johnson, CB Tre Hawkins, OG Jake Kubas, DL Jordon Riley and QB Tim Boyle.
  • TB Wide Receiver #13
This being the NFL, the Bucs tried to add some drama to the situation, but Evans is active and rolling for the first time since Week 7. Although that’s not enough time for a normal human to heal from a hamstring strain, it’s more time than an NFL player usually receives. We are jamming Evans back into lineups everywhere. Inactive for the Bucs are DL Earnest Brown, TE Evan Culp, CB Tyrek Funderburk, EDGE Jose Ramirez, S Tykee Smith and OT Tristan Wirfs.
  • NYG Wide Receiver #1
Nabers was a late addition to the injury report this week before being listed as questionable because of the groin issue. He told reporters on Friday he intends to play. The groin issue has previously popped up for Nabers but has yet to cost him any playing time. That should hold true through Week 12. Nabers is a far less appealing fantasy option with Tommy Devito under center but should still be treated as a volume-based WR2 versus the Bucs.
  • CHI Running Back #4
Swift missed Wednesday’s practice with the groin issue but was back on the field for the following session. The team listed him as questionable after a full practice on Friday. A full session to close the week typically means a player is good to go, so this was always the expectation. With Roschon Johnson emerging as a 1B to Swift, the latter has to be treated as an RB3 in a tough matchup with the Vikings.
  • TB Wide Receiver #13
Evans reportedly planned to play in Week 12 as early as Monday and was a full participant in practice by Thursday. However, the Bucs downgraded him to a limited practice on Friday before listing him as questionable. Head coach Todd Bowles also hedged Evans’ status by saying, “We’ll play him as long as he’s healthy and fresh.” It sounds like Bowles and the team were just being cautious. Evans should be good to go for Week 12, putting him in the WR2 mix for the first time since he aggravated his lingering hamstring injury in Week 7.
  • SF Quarterback #13
Even Schefter, who is presumably getting this info from a source inside the 49ers’ building, had to add some words of caution to his report. He noted, “Then again, they also thought he would be able to start today at Green Bay before he couldn’t.” Kyle Shanahan and the entire 49ers organization have made a habit of downplaying the severity of injuries this year, so it can’t be taken for granted that Purdy will be back next week. Assuming Brandon Allen can’t pull off the upset versus Green Bay today, San Francisco’s Week 13 matchup with the Bills could be a make-or-break game as they fall behind in the NFC West.
  • BAL Wide Receiver #7
Bateman was added to the injury report as a ‘DNP’ Friday but was listed as a full participant in the team’s Saturday walkthrough, ultimately removing any game status against the Chargers. Expect the veteran field stretcher to be on the field on Monday night.
  • LAC Wide Receiver #15
McConkey managed just one limited session in preparation for the team’s Week 12 game against the Ravens in the Harbaugh Bowl after sustaining a shoulder injury in Week 11. Final determination of McConkey’s status will come 90 minutes prior to the team’s Monday Night Football kickoff, meaning fantasy managers may want to consider alternate options for Week 12.
  • DAL Wide Receiver #3
Cooks saw his 21-day practice window opened prior to Week 11 but managed only limited showings in practice this week, ultimately failing to do enough on the practice field to warrant a return to the active roster ahead of the team’s Week 12 game against the Commanders. The Cowboys are in a complete state of disarray with tight end Jake Ferguson also ruled out after sustaining his second concussion of the season in Week 11 and alpha wide receiver CeeDee Lamb struggling through multiple injuries, including a painful AC joint sprain.
  • NYJ Quarterback #8
Russini cites conversations with sources with the Jets and around the league in her reporting. This comes on the heels of an ESPN report that indicated Rodgers likely wouldn’t be back with the Jets in 2025 under a new regime. With a new front office and head coach, it only makes sense that the organization will be moving on from the 40-year-old quarterback. The question remains of what team would be willing to acquire the former four-time MVP after an unequivocally disastrous stint in New York.
