  • JAX Running Back #1
Etienne exited in Sunday’s game against the Bears with the injury and did not return to the field. His absence resulted in Tank Bigsby and D’Ernest Johnson splitting the backfield, with Johnson actually out-snapping Bigsby 35-17. Johnson was utilized as the primary pass-catching back with Etienne out, and ran a route on 25 of his snaps while also seeing six carries. Bigsby will profile as a game-script dependent back while Etienne is out, but should see plenty of opportunities in Week 7 against the Patriots.
  • NYG Wide Receiver #86
Slayton operated as the clear top dog in the Giants’ pass attack for the second consecutive week without Malik Nabers, this time failing to return the same counting stats as he did in Week 5 when he went over 100 yards and found the end zone. Slayton is not typically counted on to be the top wide receiver for the Giants, meaning his fantasy value is likely to fall back to earth once Nabers returns from a concussion suffered in Week 5. That could come as early as Week 7 when the Giants play host to the division rival Eagles.
  • NYG Quarterback #8
Jones and the Giants failed to get anything going on offense until they converted two fourth downs consecutively in the third quarter, a drive capped off by a Tyrone Tracy rushing score to mark the first touchdown the team has scored at home through three home games this season. In fact, the Giants average under 10 points per game through their first three homes games in 2024. Head coach Brian Daboll and the rest of the organization have some soul searching to do considering how well their defense has played to this point in the season, with Week 6 yet another example of the team allowing 21 points or fewer. After being blown out by the Vikings in their opener, the Giants have held the subsequent five opponents to 21 points or fewer, but have just two wins to show for it. Things don’t get any easier as the Giants prepare to host the Eagles in Week 7.
  • CIN Wide Receiver #1
Chase finished second on the team in receiving behind Tee Higgins on a night the Bengals struggled with consistency in the face of relentless pressure from the ferocious New York defensive front. The team would bookend their scoring, finding paint on their first possession and last possession, but managing a lone field goal between. Better days are surely in store for the electric veteran, although the team has another stiff test in Week 7 when they travel to Cleveland to face the Browns.
  • CIN Wide Receiver #5
The fact that Higgins led the team with just 77 yards through the air is more of an indictment against the way the Bengals performed against the Giants rather than a glaring endorsement. Even so, Higgins continued returning usable fantasy weeks and was targeted once in the red zone, ultimately being tackled at the one. An offensive holding penalty on the subsequent play would push the Bengals back 10 yards and lead to their only field goal of the night. Another difficult test awaits the Cincinnati pass offense when the Bengals travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns in Week 7.
  • CIN Running Back #30
Brown played sparingly in the first half but came on strong after a Zack Moss fumble on the team’s first possession of the second half, finding the end zone on the team’s final possession of that game that did not result in kneel downs. Brown’s largest snap share of the season prior to Week 6 was just 40%, making this a potential turning point in the young back’s trajectory this year. Fantasy managers will want to keep a close eye on practice reports out of Cincinnati ahead of the team’s Week 7 showdown with the Browns.
  • CIN Running Back #31
Moss struggled along with the rest of the Cincinnati offense on a night the team scored on their first and last possession but managed a lone field goal between the bookended touchdown drives. A lost fumble on the team’s first possession of the second half saw Moss retreat to the bench, paving the way for Chase Brown to score in the fourth quarter. Moss had not played fewer than 60% of the team’s offensive snaps until tonight, making it a situation to monitor as the team prepares to face the Browns on the road in Week 7.
  • CIN Quarterback #9
Burrow got the scoring started with a 47-yard touchdown scamper on third-and-18 on the opening possession of the game but added very little the rest of the way in the face of consistent pressure from the ferocious Giants pass rush. Even without Kayvon Thibodeaux, the Giants managed four sacks and were consistently harassing Burrow in the backfield, leading to six total punts in addition to a lost fumble by Zack Moss. Still, the Bengals managed to escape New York with their second win as they attempt to salvage a season that did not start as the team had hoped. Another difficult test awaits in Week 7 when the Bengals travel to Cleveland to take on the stout defense of the Browns.
  • CAR Wide Receiver #5
Johnson continues to be a beneficiary of Andy Dalton at quarterback, garnering 10 targets and scoring the Panthers’ first score of the day. He is seeing the most volume out of the Panthers’ wider receivers, with Xavier Legette seeing the next-most wideout targets at four on the day. After a flop of a three-catch, 23-yard game last week, Johnson is back into the WR2 ranks as one of the few fantasy-viable options from the Panthers offense. He will be a fantasy WR2 in a good matchup against a bad Commanders secondary for Week 7.
  • CAR Running Back #30
Hubbard dominated the Panthers’ backfield touches, putting together an efficient 5.1 yards-per-carry performance. He has a hold on a three-down role for now, with Miles Sanders occasionally mixing in. Andy Dalton also looked to Hubbard for several checkdowns and screens, boosting his PPR value and getting the third-most targets on the team. Rookie Jonathon Brooks will take some time to eat into Hubbard’s role when he returns to the field, so fantasy managers have an RB2 in Hubbard heading into Week 7.
