  • KC Running Back #10
Pacheco, who fractured his leg in Week 2 against the Bengals, underwent surgery this week. “I can’t give you a time when he’ll return,” Reid told reporters Thursday. “We’ll just see if it’s this season or next season.” It had been reported that Pacheco would miss 6-8 weeks with the leg injury, putting him back on the field sometime in November at the latest. That he could miss the remainder of the regular season means Carson Steele and Samaje Perine could split backfield duties for longer than expected. Kareem Hunt could also mix in at some point. Perine is likely to inherit the pass-catching role out of the KC backfield.
  • NYJ Running Back #20
Hall has now reached 20 touches and found the end zone in all three of his appearances so far this season. He hasn’t been very efficient in the process, while fantasy managers are undoubtedly nervous about Braelon Allen’s usage, but Hall is getting elite RB1 handles. Those should quickly give way to elite RB1 returns, especially since Aaron Rodgers has looked better each week. Allen, who notched 14 touches of his own this evening, isn’t going to go away, but this backfield is big enough for two runners considering the Jets’ pass-catching limitations. The Broncos are on tap for Week 4.
  • NYJ Wide Receiver #5
Wilson’s touchdown — his first of Aaron Rodgers’ tenure with the Jets — was also the first score Rodgers has ever tossed to a first-round wide receiver. Stupefying. The TD was nice, as was Wilson drawing nine targets on an evening where Rodgers found six different pass catchers for at least three receptions. Less nice was Wilson’s continued depressed yardage production, a theme that unfortunately could continue the next two weeks against Patrick Surtain’s Broncos and Brian Flores’ Vikings. That being said, a player of Wilson’s caliber isn’t going to remain in the 50-yard range forever. You have to keep trusting him as a top-12 wideout.
  • NYJ Quarterback #8
After making a modest leap from Week 1 to Week 2, Rodgers went into hyperdrive this evening, spinning the ball with his signature flair and accuracy while using his legs surprisingly often. Although he rushed only three times for 18 yards, Rodgers appeared quite comfortable rolling out, and was not afraid to get hit. He also spread the ball around the Jets’ thin skill corps, finding six different players for at least three receptions. Physically, he looked far ahead of what we’ve seen from Kirk Cousins. Truly “vintage” Rodgers is never going to come back, but tonight was also closer than many observers probably assumed we would see. We would like to say Rodgers has some Week 4 streaming juice, but the Broncos aren’t an amazing matchup. The same is true of the Vikings in Week 5.
  • MIA Running Back #31
We wouldn’t assume Mostert is returning until he gets in a full session on Friday or is removed from the injury report. He could end up with a genuine “questionable” tag. We do know the Dolphins have incentive to push the envelope with their 1B back, as they are going to have no choice but to run the ball more in Tua Tagovailoa’s absence. Mostert will be a touchdown-based FLEX option if he returns after a one-week absence.
  • SEA Running Back #9
Walker has yet to take a practice rep of any kind since getting injured late in Week 1. At this point, not even a “limited” Friday return would probably be enough to get him out of the field against the Dolphins. Although inefficient and un-explosive, Zach Charbonnet’s status as an every-snap player in KWIII’s absence keeps him in the low-end RB1 mix.
  • TB Running Back #1
We haven’t seen much concern as to White’s Week 3 status, though a “full” practice on Friday would be nice. For now we would expect the Bucs’ lead back to be ready for his typical RB2 workload, though White coming out of the gate slow and Bucky Irving getting the “hot hand” would be within the range of outcomes.
  • MIN Wide Receiver #18
“Yeah, for sure,” was Jefferson’s Thursday response when asked if he will be a go. Jefferson has yet to get in a full practice this week, but the fact that he’s practicing at all after departing last Sunday’s contest has told the tale. Jefferson will be in the top three for a game we hope doesn’t turn into a “surprising” defensive slugfest.
  • GB Quarterback #10
Love was able to get in a limited session while wearing pads. When asked about Love’s status for Week 3, Packers HC Matt LaFleur told reporters that they would give Love “up until kickoff, 90 minutes.” In other words, Love is going to be a gametime decision. Malik Willis will get the start behind center against the Titans if the team decides to go cautious with Love.
  • DAL Wide Receiver #88
Lamb was able to take part in the open portion, and that’s obviously a great sign for his status going forward. Fantasy managers will want to make sure he’s able to take part Friday and check the designation, but at this point it’d be an upset if he isn’t on the field Sunday against the Ravens.
