MIA Running Back #28

De’Von Achane had 11 rushes for 30 yards in the Dolphins’ Week 3 loss against the Seahawks, adding three catches for 28 yards.

Achane had no room to operate against a Seattle defense that had no reason to respect the Dolphins’ nonexistent passing attack with Skylar Thompson and Tim Boyle at the helm. Though Achane’s five targets were tied for the team lead, he didn’t do much with those opportunities with Seattle defenders swarming him on every touch.
Tyreek Hill

MIA Wide Receiver #10

Tyreek Hill caught 3-of-5 targets for 40 yards in the Dolphins’ Week 3 loss to the Seahawks.

Hill led Miami with his five targets on a day that saw the offense held to less than 200 passing yards. Skylar Thompson, before leaving the game in the third quarter with a chest injury, was abysmal in Mike McDaniel’s user-friendly offense. Journeyman backup QB Tim Boyle was much better and could make Hill a more viable fantasy option if he’s named the Dolphins’ Week 4 starter. Without Tua Tagovailoa (concussion), no one in Miami’s offense will be a reliable fantasy option.
Zach Charbonnet

SEA Running Back #26

Zach Charbonnet had 18 rushes for 91 yards and two touchdowns in the Seahawks’ Week 3 win against the Dolphins, adding three catches for 16 yards.

Though Charbonnet wasn’t particularly impressive, he once again benefited from touch volume with Ken Walker (oblique) on the sideline. Charbonnet ran tough, as usual, and cashed in two inside-the-10 rushes for a pair of scores against an exploitable Miami run defense. He had 18 of the team’s 21 running back rushes. As long as Walker is out, Charbonnet profiles as a top-12 fantasy play with plenty of touchdown upside in a potent Seahawks offense.
Skylar Thompson

MIA Quarterback #19

Skylar Thompson (chest) was ruled out in Week 3 against the Seahawks.

Thompson took a handful of wicked shots to the midsection in his first start of 2024 and did not return after a hard fall to the turf in the third quarter. Tim Boyle, fresh off the practice squad, has taken over at quarterback.
Adam Thielen

CAR Wide Receiver #19

Panthers WR Adam Thielen (hamstring) will not return to Week 3 against the Raiders.

Updating a previous report, Adam Thielen has been ruled out for the remainder of the Panthers’ Week 3 game against the Raiders. He caught 3-of-5 targets for 40 yards and a touchdown prior to leaving the game just before the half.
Malik Nabers

NYG Wide Receiver #1

Malik Nabers caught 8-of-12 targets for 78 yards and two touchdowns against the Browns in Week 3.

Nabers has had back-to-back big games for the Giants. He had more yards in Week 2, but this might’ve been the more impressive performance. Nabers leaped over a Browns corner and ripped the ball out of his hands for a catch on the sideline then followed up with a leaping, twisting catch in the end zone for his first touchdown. Before the first half was over, he had six catches, 66 yards and two scores. After Nabers saw only seven targets in the Week 1 loss, he’s had double digit targets in back-to-back wins. With Nabers as the clear focal point of the offense, he’s a WR1 heading into Week 4’s matchup against the Cowboys.
Cam Akers

HOU Running Back #22

Cam Akers had eight rushes for 21 yards in the Texans’ Week 3 win against the Vikings, adding one catch for eight yards and a touchdown.

Akers’ fantasy day was saved by a short catch and run touchdown in the first half. He was otherwise entirely ineffective as Houston’s lead back with Joe Mixon (ankle) sidelined. Akers saw nine of the team’s 11 running back rushes in a blowout game script. JJ Taylor and Dare Ogunbowale shared backfield pass catching duties. No one in the Houston backfield is worthy of fantasy consideration outside of deep formats until Mixon returns from injury.
Deshaun Watson

CLE Quarterback #4

Deshaun Watson completed 21-of-37 passes for 196 yards and two touchdowns and rushed four times for 26 yards in the Browns’ 21-15, Week 3 loss to the Giants.

Watson was sacked eight times in this one. He failed to eclipse 200 passing yards for the third straight week. The two touchdowns to Amari Cooper saved his fantasy performance and passer rating, but this was another subpar performance for Watson. The numbers are mostly bad and he’s failing the eye test too. Watson’s performances leave us wondering if he’s the worst starting quarterback in the NFL this side of Will Levis. He’s nothing more than a low-end QB2 at Las Vegas in Week 4.
Justin Jefferson

MIN Wide Receiver #18

Justin Jefferson caught 6-of-8 targets for 81 yards and a touchdown in the Vikings’ Week 3 win against the Texans.

Game script was once again unfriendly to Jefferson, who roasted the Houston secondary in the first half before the vikings took their foot off the gas with a big lead in the second half. Jefferson had two drops on the day and generally seemed off with QB Sam Darnold. Jefferson will face off against a tough Green Bay secondary in Week 4.
Daniel Jones

NYG Quarterback #8

Daniel Jones completed 24-of-34 passes for 236 yards and two touchdowns in the Giants’ 21-15 victory over the Browns in Week 3.

New York’s most important players stepped up when they needed them most. On offense, that was Daniel Jones and Malik Nabers. Jones hit Nabers for two touchdowns in the second quarter. The second Nabers touchdown gave the Giants a 21-7 lead that they wouldn’t relinquish. Their connection cooled in the second half as the Giants couldn’t score and Nabers had only 12 yards, but New York was still able to hold on for the victory. Jones is still just a QB2 heading into a short week with a primetime matchup against the Cowboys on Thursday night in Week 4.
