  • SF Wide Receiver #1
Personalize your Rotoworld feed by favoriting players
Samuel was active for Week 7 but barely played because of the illness, which was later revealed to be pneumonia. Deebo was hospitalized after the game and was released on Tuesday. He did not practice today but was at the 49ers’ facility in good spirits. Even if Samuel is held out of the 49ers’ Sunday Night Football matchup with Dallas, he should have no issue returning to the field after Sann Francisco’s Week 9 bye.
  • BAL Wide Receiver #4
Flowers went down with the ankle injury early in Baltimore’s Week 7 win over the Bucs. He was in visible pain as trainers checked him out on the sidelines. The young wideout ultimately returned to the game and limped to the finish line without missing much time. The fact that he played through it suggests Flowers will be able to suit up on Sunday, but Baltimore’s injury report will be one to watch as the week progresses. Rashod Bateman would take over as the team’s No. 1 receiver if Flowers can’t go.
  • LAR Wide Receiver #17
The Rams opened Nacua’s practice window earlier this week. He got in two limited practices before being listed as questionable. The fact that he didn’t get in a full practice suggests Nacua is still at least one week away from making his return. The Rams have to officially activate him from injured reserve before he is able to play, so we will know his status ahead of kickoff. Cooper Kupp is back this week and will be peppered with targets wether or not Nacua manages to suit up.
  • LAR Wide Receiver #10
Kupp will finally return after missing four games with the ankle injury he suffered in Week 2. Puka Nacua is listed as questionable, though he will likely be held out for at least one more week. Kupp totaled an absurd 21 targets in Week 1 and turned that into 14 receptions for 110 yards and a touchdown before going down with an ankle injury the following week. He will dominate the targets in his first game back and should be treated as a fantasy WR1 despite returning for a tough matchup versus Minnesota’s stingy defense.
  • NO Quarterback #18
Derek Carr is still nursing an oblique injury, putting Rattler in line to make his third career start. Rattler was thoroughly exposed by the Broncos last week. He threw for 172 scoreless yards and took six sacks. Jake Haener closed out the game and managed a garbage-time touchdown. With Rashid Shaheed done for the year, Chris Olave, who looks likely to return from his concussion this week, is the only New Orleans pass-catcher fantasy managers need to worry about. He will be a volume-based WR2 versus the Chargers this week.
  • PHI Tight End #88
Goedert missed Week 7 with the hamstring issue and appears likely to sit out at least one more game while recovering. Backup tight end Grant Calcaterra caught four passes for 67 yards after Goedert left Week 6 with the injury but only reeled in one pass last week. Even as the starter, Calcaterra is not on the fantasy radar.
  • CAR Quarterback #9
Andy Dalton sprained his thumb in a car accident earlier this week. He did not practice Wednesday and will be out of the starting lineup versus Denver. Young was benched after two weeks of abysmal play. He threw for 245 scoreless yards with three interceptions before Dalton took over as the starter. Dalton’s efficiency has tapered off since his three-score debut in Week 3, but he was still playing far better than anything Young had shown in his rookie season or his two games this year. Young’s return to the lineup is a devastating blow to the fantasy outlooks of every Panthers player. Diontae Johnson will fall to the back of the WR3 ranks while Chuba Hubbard will hold a similar spot among this week’s running backs.
  • MIN Tight End #87
Hockenson remains on the PUP list as he works his way back from the torn ACL he suffered last year. They will have to officially activate him before he can return, so we’ll get a definitive answer on his status ahead of kickoff. Hockenson may be limited in his first game back, but he will quickly work his way back into the TE1 ranks once up to speed. If active for Week 8, fantasy managers can consider him a high-ceiling TE2 for his 2024 debut.
  • MIA Quarterback #1
We knew this would be the case once Miami designated Tua to return from injured reserve a few days ago, but it’s still a sight for eyes. This is Tua’s first session since being placed on injured reserve after another scary brain injury a month ago. Miami has scored 35 points in four games without Tagovailoa under center. They scored more than that in four individual weeks last season. All signs point to Tagovailoa returning in Week 8 versus the Cardinals, tentatively putting Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle back on the fantasy menu.
  • TEN Quarterback #8
Callahan didn’t officially rule out Levis for Week 8, but this is as close as it gets. Mason Rudolph will draw the start versus Detroit on Sunday. Rudolph threw for 215 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in his Week 7 debut. He isn’t on the fantasy radar this week but is competent enough to keep Calvin Ridley, now the only game in town for targets, in the WR3/4 ranks.
