  • KC Tight End #87
Personalize your Rotoworld feed by favoriting players
He had an uncharacteristic drop over the middle, and only managed three red-zone targets in the contest. One of them, though, he was open on a cover-zero look from the Raiders and Patrick Mahomes simply placed it to the opposite shoulder of what Kelce was looking for. Rough. He’ll be a realistic TE1 against the Chargers in Week 14 but this offense is struggling enough that it is hard to call him much more than that.
  • KC Wide Receiver #8
He added two long DPI penalties for a total of 46 yards you probably were not compensated for in fantasy. Hopkins’ only real sin in this game was dropping a wide-open catch over the middle of the field on a Patrick Mahomes miracle-scramble. He also one-handed a would-be touchdown out of the back of the end zone in the fourth quarter. Hopkins has not exactly been a league-winner for the Chiefs, being held under 60 yards in his three previous games. He’ll be a bottom-tier WR3 option or good FLEX against the Chargers in Week 14.
  • KC Running Back #10
He added one catch for five yards. Kansas City looked wholly unable to run when they tried in this game, with 13 of their 14 running back carries going for a combined 25 yards. Pacheco’s 34-yarder in the third quarter was both good (clearly salvaged some value for those forced to play him this week) and a little ugly (it didn’t look like he had rediscovered that next gear in the open field yet.) Splitting carries almost down the middle with Kareem Hunt on non-Perine downs and in an offense that is struggling, Pacheco certainly isn’t a must-play in Week 14 without some positive coach quotes about his role growing.
  • KC Quarterback #15
He’s taken 10 sacks in the last two weeks and the offensive line play was so bad that Joe Thuney, an All-Pro guard, kicked out to left tackle to replace Wanya Morris late in the game. A promising third-quarter drive was derailed by a 17-yard gigasack where he fumbled while backpedaling. Mahomes wasn’t without blame — he missed some open deep balls and it appeared he went to the wrong shoulder on a red zone throw to Travis Kelce, which is a rare miscommunication between those two. But it largely has not been his fault that this operation continues to struggle. A Week 14 matchup with the Chargers will probably remain firmly in fantasy football stayaway territory.
  • LV Tight End #89
He also rushed once for two yards. Bowers’ touchdown was slipped by Aidan O’Connell over some underneath defenders in zone. His most impressive play was a one-handed snag through a defensive pass interference call on Trent McDuffie, an extremely respectable Mossing even if there was a bit of a push-off. He’s now five behind Sam LaPorta for the most catches by a rookie tight end in NFL history with six games to play and is locked into a huge role in this offense. He’ll remain one of the few true TE1 overall threats against Tampa Bay in Week 14.
  • LV Quarterback #12
To O’Connell’s credit: This was a better game than we expected for him. He was a beat slow in making his throws, but he was willing to push the ball downfield in a way that Gardner Minshew wasn’t able to. He was lobbing balls above underneath zone defenders all day, and he found Tre Tucker isolated down the sideline for 58 yards to briefly take a 17-16 lead. O’Connell had led the team from the Vegas 8 all the way down to the Kansas City 32, roughly in field goal range not withstanding the struggles of kicker Daniel Carlson, before an errant snap by Jackson Powers-Johnson clunked off O’Connell’s right arm and was recovered by the Chiefs with 15 seconds left. O’Connell finds himself as a potential superflex QB2 in Week 14 against the Buccaneers after this performance.
  • DEN Quarterback #10
Nix was estimated as a limited participant for Thursday’s practice. He told reporters today he is “good to go” for Week 13 and a full practice all but confirms that. With eight touchdowns over his past three games, Nix is breaking out as a passer in addition to his rushing output. He will remain on the QB1/2 border for his upcoming bout with the Browns on Monday Night Football.
  • JAX Quarterback #16
Lawrence practiced in some capacity throughout the week and head coach Doug Pederson told reporters earlier today he is expected to play. Barring a setback, Lawrence is going to give it a go versus the Texans. His return puts Brian Thomas Jr. back on the WR2 menu and keeps Evan Engram well within the TE1 ranks for Week 13. Lawrence himself is in the streaming QB2 mix versus the Texans.
  • PHI Wide Receiver #6
Smith was held out of Wednesday’s practice but returned for two limited sessions before being listed as questionable. He told reports on Friday that he still didn’t know if he would be able to suit up this week, making him a true game-time call heading into Sunday. If active, Smith will be a high-ceiling WR2 for a potential shootout with the Ravens.
  • WAS Running Back #8
Robinson exited Week 12 with a seemingly significant ankle issue. He was listed as questionable to return and was back on the field in no time, only to sit out of the second half entirely. The fact that he was upgraded to a full practice on Friday and didn’t even receive a token questionable designation suggests it was somehow a minor injury. With Austin Ekeler out, Robinson remains a touchdown-based RB2 for Week 13.
