  • GB Quarterback #10
One of Schefter’s sources said they “wouldn’t be surprised” if Love plays while another called it “50-50 at best right now.” Love returned to practice on Wednesday as a limited participant. Head coach Matt LaFleur told reporters it would be “ideal” for him to practice before returning a few days earlier. Fantasy managers holding onto Love should still enter the weekend with a backup plan, but it does appear as though Love is truly questionable for Week 3, unlike last week.
  • LAR Wide Receiver #10
Kupp suffered a serious high ankle sprain in Week 2 against the Cardinals, and while he avoided injured reserve, it would be surprising if he returns to the field in the next couple weeks. That leaves the Rams offense without its top two wideouts and an injury-marred defense. Patrick Daugherty and Denny Carter talked on the Rotoworld Football Show about what to expect from LA’s offense without Kupp and Puka Nacua.
  • DAL Wide Receiver #88
Lamb is just the latest in a long line of superstar skill position players to go down with an injury. The severity of his ankle issue is unclear at this time, though a DNP to start the week is never a good thing. Still, Lamb is a veteran at this point in his career and doesn’t need a full week of practice in order to suit up. The Cowboys’ Thursday injury report will shed more light on the injury. If Lamb were to miss time, Brandin Cooks and Jalen Tolbert with likely split the No. 1 duties in Dallas. Tolbert, coming off an 82-yard outing in Week 2, is worth stashing in all fantasy formats.
  • GB Quarterback #10
It’s Love’s first practice session since suffering an MCL injury in Week 1. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur told reporters earlier this week that it would be “ideal” for Love to practice before returning to action, so even a limited session on Wednesday is a promising sign for his Week 3 status. Malik Willis drew the start in Week 2 and toppled the Colts while throwing for 122 yards. The Packers’ passing game output will rise astronomically once Love returns.
  • TB Running Back #1
Fox Sports’ Greg Auman said it was hard to say if White was a full participant. That he was practicing at all after leaving Sunday’s game with a groin issue is a good sign he’ll suit up in Week 3 against the Broncos. Bucky Irvin would see an increased role against Denver if White is limited or sidelined in Week 3.
  • CLE Tight End #85
Njoku will miss a second game with an ankle injury he picked up in Week 1. Jordan Akins will continue operating as Cleveland’s No. 1 tight end. In Week 2 against the Jaguars, Akins ran a route on 20 of the team’s 38 drop backs and caught his only target for ten yards.
  • MIA Quarterback #1
The league’s concussion rules for players who have suffered previous brain injuries — like Tagovailoa — “puts return-to-play decisions entirely in the hands of medical experts, completely excluding teams’ coaches and football staffers from having any say in such matters.” Tagovailoa, 26, is reportedly not considering retirement after his fourth brain injury since the start of the 2022 season. He was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, meaning he’ll miss at least the next four weeks. It would not be surprising if he was held out for much longer, however.
  • LAC Wide Receiver #1
Johnston has asserted himself as the clear WR1 in the run-first LA offense. He has seen 25 percent of the Chargers’ targets and 40 percent of the team’s air yards through Week 2, and scored two touchdowns on Sunday against the Panthers. Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh, per Popper, has encouraged Johnston to not be dragged down by the outside criticism that dogged him during his miserable rookie campaign. The Chargers have set up Johnston to use his after-the-catch ability this season. His rate of crossing routes has increased from 9.9 percent in 2023 to 19 percent in 2024, according to Popper.
  • LV Tight End #89
Minshew connected with Bowers on a couple late scramble drills in the Raiders’ Week 2 upset win over the Ravens. Bowers caught all nine of his targets for 98 yards and almost scored a touchdown against Baltimore. He now leads the Raiders with 15 receptions through two games. Minshew, per Vegas beat writers, demonstrated chemistry with Bowers throughout the summer — a connection that has translated to the regular season. The team has used Bowers in creative ways. In Week 2, he had 15 snaps at tight end, six snaps as an outside receiver, and 20 snaps in the slot. As the 1B option behind Davante Adams, Bowers has a real path to the TE1 overall in fantasy formats.
  • GB Running Back #32
It’s been a frustrating start to the young career of Lloyd who has promising skills. After finally getting to see regular season action, Lloyd went out with an ankle injury. He missed time earlier this season with a hamstring injury and now he’ll take several weeks to recover and get to full health. The Packers have signed Chris Brooks from the practice squad for more Josh Jacobs insurance.
