  • MIA Wide Receiver #17

Waddle has missed both practices to open the week and is on the wrong side of playing in Week 16 against the 49ers. If Waddle can’t get on the field in a limited capacity on Friday, it would likely mean Tyreek Hill and Malik Washington will slot in as the Dolphins’ top two receivers.
  • KC Quarterback #15
Mahomes practiced in full this week despite suffering a high-ankle sprain in Week 15. While he may scramble infrequently, fantasy managers can expect to have their QB1 available. The game plan will surely be built around Mahomes getting the ball out quickly.
  • PIT Wide Receiver #14
Pickens was considered a long shot to practice after being a DNP in Tuesday and Wednesday’s practices. The Steelers’ WR1 will miss his third-straight game with a hamstring he suffered in practice just days before Week 14’s game against the Browns, which has dealt a blow to the Steelers’ passing game. Russell Wilson will have to find a way to make due with Scotty Miller, Van Jefferson, and Calvin Austin as his top receivers against the Ravens in a game that will go a long way in deciding the winner of the AFC North.
  • CIN Wide Receiver #5
What appeared to be a maintenance day for Higgins when he was listed as DNP now looks like something more concerning on Thursday. It’s worth noting that Higgins was not seen during the portion of practice that is open to the media, but we typically know what that means when it comes to a player’s practice status. Unless the team’s injury report suggests otherwise, then Higgins will be a DNP on back-to-back days, which puts his Week 16 availability squarely in doubt for the next 24 hours. He’ll be a name to watch on Friday’s injury report.
  • BAL Wide Receiver #7
With the Ravens playing on Saturday, we should learn of player’s game statuses soon. That said, Bateman was a DNP in Thursday’s practice after popping up on Wednesday as a limited participant due to a foot injury. Bateman has dealt with foot injuries in the past, but head coach John Harbaugh declined to comment on his status Thursday after practice. We’ll check back in once Bateman’s Week 16 availability is released on the team’s final injury report.
  • CLE Tight End #85
Another DNP on Thursday would mark two straight missed practices for Njoku, who seems to be trending toward missing a second consecutive game with his hamstring injury. Tight end Jordan Akins caught three passes for 30 yards on four targets in last week’s loss to the Chiefs but won’t be on the fantasy radar if Njoku sits.
  • TB Quarterback #6
We don’t know the capacity in which Mayfield practiced, but his return to the field is a good sign for his Week 16 outlook, regardless. With the Buccaneers in the thick of the playoff race and/or the NFC South divisional race, it’s hard to imagine Mayfield missing Sunday’s game against the Cowboys. We’ll have more clarity on Friday when the team’s final injury report is released, but Mayfield seems to be trending in the right direction.
  • IND Wide Receiver #11
Pittman was a DNP on Wednesday due to a back injury that he’s been dealing with all season. His return to practice on Thursday is an encouraging sign for his Week 16 availability against the Titans, but Pittman can’t be trusted as anything more than a WR3/WR4 at this point in the season. Currently on pace for his worst season since his rookie year, Pittman has turned in just one top-24 PPR performance since Week 5.
  • SF Running Back #31
The 49ers will feature their fourth running back of the season on Sunday against the Dolphins if Guerendo can’t suit up. Guerendo was a DNP in Wednesday’s practice, but it sounds like the team is already preparing to be without the rookie. It’s hard to know what direction the 49ers could go in here, but Patrick Taylor figures to be first in line for touches as the most-tenured member of the Niners. Ke’Shawn Vaughn and Israel Abanikanda only recently joined the team after it was revealed Christian McCaffrey and Jordan Mason would be placed on injured reserve, but both backs could also work into the mix even if Taylor operates as the lead back.
  • MIA Quarterback #1
Tua popped up on Wednesday’s injury report as a limited participant, but the team doesn’t appear too worried about whether or not that will affect his availability for Week 16’s game against the 49ers. Tagovailoa suffered a dislocated right hip during his final collegiate season at Alabama, which put a red flag on his prospect profile during draft season. This latest injury doesn’t appear to be in any way related to this, and the fact that Tagovailoa was a limited participant on Wednesday should be viewed as a positive early sign for his Week 16 outlook. We’ll assume he’ll be good to go, barring an unexpected development.
