  • SEA Wide Receiver #14

Metcalf started the game hot, catching a 25-yard touchdown in the first quarter on a beautifully thrown ball from Geno Smith. Metcalf faded in the second half as Jaxon Smith-Njigba commanded a team-leading 12 targets and led the Seahawks in receiving yet again. Smith was furious with Metcalf after his fourth quarter interception that all but ended the game for Seattle; the two seem not to be on the same page in 2024. It was Metcalf’s first touchdown since Week 7 against Atlanta and only his fourth of the season. Functioning mostly as a volatile downfield target in the balanced Seahawks offense, Metcalf will be a WR3 play in Week 17 against the Bears.
  • MIN Running Back #33
Jones was involved early before the Vikings largely abandoned the run in comeback mode in the second half. He had a few nice runs but was eventually stopped by a Seahawks front seven that has snuffed out opposing rushing attacks over the past month. He was targeted on five of his 26 routes as no other Minnesota running back drew a target. Jones will be a top-15 fantasy play in Week 17 against a middling Green Bay rush defense. He had 139 scoreless yards in Week 4 against the Packers, his former team.
  • SEA Quarterback #7
Smith made a handful of elite throws in this one but also tossed two bad picks that kept the Vikings in the game. Smith connected with AJ Barner, DK Metcalf, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba for scores in a pass-heavy game script for the Seahawks. Smith appeared to be hobbled — sometimes severely so — by the knee injury he sustained last week. He rarely left the pocket and only logged one rushing attempt, when the Seahawks were in desperation mode late in the game. Smith will be a QB2 option in Week 17 against a solid Bears secondary.
  • SEA Wide Receiver #11
Smith-Njigba led the Seahawks with a dozen targets from Geno Smith. He made a couple impressive contested grabs in this one, including a tough over-the-middle grab against double coverage. Mostly operating as a short-area pass catcher, JSN continues to prove valuable in PPR formats. He now has 18 receptions over his past two games as the Seahawks’ clear No. 1 receiving option over DK Metcalf. He gets the Bears in Week 17.
  • MIN Wide Receiver #18
Jefferson was on a mission from start to finish against a middling Seattle coverage unit that did not tilt coverage toward Jefferson like most Minnesota opponents have this season. Averaging 14.5 yards per catch, Jefferson hauled in a pair of scores, including the game-winning touchdown catch with less than two minutes to go. Jefferson, who now has five touchdowns over his past three outings, led the team by comfortable margins in every receiving category in Week 16. As usual, he’ll be an elite play in Week 17 against the Packers, against whom he had 85 yards and a score in Week 4.
  • SEA Running Back #9
Walker injured his ankle in the fourth quarter after dominating the Seattle backfield in his return from a multi-week calf injury. He had eight rushing attempts for 31 yards and eight receptions for 28 yards before exiting. Zach Charbonnet, meanwhile, was relegated to just one touch before Walker sustained his ankle injury. Charbonnet could be in position to once again function as the Seahawks’ lead back in Week 17 if Walker misses more time.
  • ATL Wide Receiver #5
London injured his hamstring in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s win over the Giants. At the time of the injury, the Falcons were already sitting pretty with a 31-7 lead, leaving no reason for them to force London back on the field with a pivotal Week 17 game against the Commanders on tap next week. London’s name will be one to monitor on the team’s injury report, but it sounds like he’ll be good to go for next week.
  • BAL Running Back #43
Hill suffered a concussion in Saturday’s loss and was immediately ruled out for the game. Players have a hard enough time bouncing back from a concussion with a full week to recover; Hill will have to get right in just three days if he hopes to suit up for Week 17’s game against the Texans. It seems unlikely that he would be cleared in time, which could open the door for either Rasheen Ali or Keaton Mitchell to serve as the Ravens’ pass-catching back.
  • BAL Wide Receiver #4
Flowers totaled 100 yards in the Ravens Week 16 win over the Steelers and didn’t have an injury reported immediately after the team’s win. Whatever he’s dealing with is likely minor, but we’ll see how things develop as the week progresses. For now, we’ll assume this is more of a rest thing and that Flowers will be good to go for Wednesday’s game against the Texans.
  • PIT Wide Receiver #14
Wednesday’s Christmas day games make for an interesting week of practice reports. Less than 24 hours after missing Week 16’s game against the Ravens with a hamstring injury, Pickens was listed as limited on Sunday’s estimated report, which is a good early outlook for his Week 17 availability against the Chiefs. Pickens has missed the Steelers’ last three games with this injury, and would provide an immediate boost to the Steelers’ passing game if he can suit up on Wednesday.
