  • PIT Quarterback #2
Personalize your Rotoworld feed by favoriting players
The Steelers have toyed around with specific packages for Fields throughout the season after he filled in as the starter for the injured Russell Wilson to begin the season. Up to this point, their hand has typically been played face up with Fields on the field, so it will be interesting to see the extent of his packages against the Ravens. Instilled as 9.5-point road underdogs in the Wildcard Round, the Steelers have nothing to lose as they chase an opening round upset.
  • WAS Quarterback #5
Daniels was pulled from the Commanders’ Week 18 game against the Cowboys after suffering the quad injury. Washington had little to play for and head coach Dan Quinn said he wasn’t concerned after the game. Three full practices for Daniels this week confirm his optimism. Even as an underdog, the impending Offensive Rookie of the Year will be one of the best fantasy options for the opening round of the playoffs.
  • PHI Wide Receiver #6
Smith was held out of Friday’s practice with what has been reported as “back tightness” but the Eagles have been resting their stars as much as possible so it is likely a precautionary move more than anything. Smith should be active, and feeling loose, on Sunday against the Packers.
  • LAC Wide Receiver #1
Johnston was limited on Tuesday before being downgraded to a DNP on Wednesday. While more than a little concerning, the day off seems to have worked out in his favor. He was back on the field for the final session of the week before being listed as questionable. Johnston dominated the Chargers’ targets sans Josh Palmer in Week 18. He caught 13 passes for 186 yards versus Las Vegas. With Palmer out again, Johnston should see plenty of deep shots versus the Texans on Saturday, making him a high-upside DFS play for the first slate of the weekend.
  • GB Quarterback #10
This is Love’s second consecutive full practice, indicating the elbow injury he suffered last week is effectively behind him. The run-heavy Packers may be forced to throw the ball aggressively in order to keep pace with the Eagles’ high-powered offense. Love has a wide range of outcomes this week he appears to be healthy enough for a high-volume outing.
  • PHI Wide Receiver #11
The team’s Friday injury report has not yet been released but Brown’s practice participation on Wednesday and Thursday was brief, to say the least. Brown reportedly exited Wednesday’s practice after less than 10 minutes, a development that the team characterized as a pre-planned precautionary measure. Brown was then given the day off on Thursday. In speaking with reporters Friday, Brown stated that he will indeed play while acknowledging that he is “banged up, but everybody is.” The Eagles should have their No. 1 WR on-field this weekend.
  • PHI Quarterback #1
This doesn’t come as much of a surprise after Hurts was upgraded to a full participant in Thursday’s practice. It was only a matter of time before the Eagles’ QB1 cleared protocol and was given the green light for Sunday’s Wild Card game. Hurts has participated in all three practices this week, and should be well-rested after missing the team’s last two games and barely playing in Week 16 against the Commanders before exiting the game. The Eagles are getting healthy at the right time, and should be at near full strength heading into Sunday.
  • WAS Cornerback #23
After saying earlier in the week that Lattimore “hit all the markers” the team needed to see to clear him, Quinn confirmed Lattimore’s availability for Sunday night’s game against the Buccaneers. It will be the latest installment of the Marshon Lattimore vs. Mike Evans saga, as Lattimore expected to see plenty of his former division rival in the tilt. How healthy Lattimore is remains a mystery, as the veteran corner has dealt with this nagging hamstring injury for most of the season, but he’s well-enough to take the field for the Commanders in what will be just his third game with the team.
  • DET Defensive Coordinator
Glenn spoke to the Jets on Thursday and has now sat down to speak with the Saints. The highly-coveted head coaching candidate still has meetings with the Raiders, Jaguars, and Bears on tap but declined a chance to speak with the Patriots. Glenn has ties to the Saints that go back to 2008, which marked his final year in the league as a player, but he also served as their defensive backs coach from 2016-2020 before joining the Lions in 2021 as their defensive coordinator. Glenn’s interviews are just getting started. He’ll likely go through a second round with several teams in the coming week.
  • CLE Quarterback #4
Things go from bad to worse for Watson, who tore his Achilles for a second time after suffering the initial injury less than three months ago. It’s hard to know the impact of this injury on the Browns, as the team has long been rumored to be interested in adding other quarterbacks this offseason. Some have gone as far as to speculate that Watson will “never play a meaningful snap for the Browns again.” Regardless, Watson faces an even longer road to recovery after undergoing another surgery on Thursday to repair this second tear. It wouldn’t be surprising if this injury sidelined Watson for all of next season. According to Jason Fitzgerald of Over the Cap, if Watson re-injured himself while doing something “he was not supposed to be doing” the guarantees in his contract could be at risk.
