  • NYG Wide Receiver #1

Nabers suffered the foot injury in last week’s loss to the Ravens. He was momentarily slowed by it but returned to finish out the game and was still a limited participant in the team’s first practice to open the week. His being upgraded to a full participant on Thursday is a good sign for his availability in Sunday’s game against a Falcons defense that struggled to slow down their opponent’s passing games all season. Naber’s will be forced to get through another game with Drew Lock under center, but his expected volume should keep him in the WR2 mix.
  • DET Running Back #5
Rapoport reports that it took “several days and several experts” to come to this conclusion while adding that if all goes well, Montgomery could find himself back on the field at some point during the postseason. Montgomery will not return in the regular season, but it sounds like any concerns the team had over the torn MCL he reportedly suffered in Week 14 have been quelled a bit. We’ll see where things go from here, but it goes without saying that a healthy Montgomery would bode well for the Lions in the postseason.
  • CLE Tight End #85
Njoku has not practiced since injuring his hamstring in Week 14. He missed the Browns’ Week 15 loss to the Chiefs and is on track to miss at least one more game with his latest injury. Backup Jordan Akins caught three passes for 30 yards in place of Njoku last week but can be kept off the fantasy radar even if Njoku sits.
  • DAL Wide Receiver #88
Lamb being limited on Wednesday can probably be chalked up to injury maintenance, as the Cowboys’ WR1 has been playing through the same shoulder injury for several weeks. Lamb has gone for 90-plus yards and a touchdown in back-to-back weeks and will look to continue his hot play in Week 16 against the Buccaneers, where he’ll profile as a fringe WR1/WR2.
  • TB Running Back #7
Irving has been limited in both practices this week, but these are injuries he has been playing through. Irving was solid in last week’s game against the Chargers, rushing 15 times for 117 yards against one of the league’s top defenses. Assuming he is active for Week 16’s game against the Cowboys, Irving will be a fringe RB1/RB2 in what should be a plus matchup.
  • TB Quarterback #6
After being listed as a DNP on Wednesday, Mayfield was upgraded to a full participant on Thursday. His upgrade with one practice left to go in the week should remove any concern for fantasy managers who thought his Week 16 availability might be in doubt, as we can safely assume that Mayfield will be ready to go on Sunday while hoping to lead the Buccaneers to a playoff berth. The Buccaneers will release their final injury report on Friday, but it sounds like Mayfield’s knee injury is a minor issue at this time.
  • BAL Wide Receiver #7
Bateman’s Week 16 outlook doesn’t look great despite his questionable status. The veteran receiver popped up on Wednesday’s injury report and was a DNP on Thursday. On top of all of that, he was also spotted in the facility wearing a boot. The Ravens will probably give Bateman until Saturday to see whether or not he can suit up, but the early signs suggest he’s in line to miss this week’s game. His status will be one to monitor in the coming days.
  • NO Running Back #41
Beat reporter Nick Underhill reports “Kamara’s injury is more significant than believed,” labeling him “week to week.” News broke earlier this week that Kamara needed to undergo additional testing for his groin injury. It appears as though those tests brought undesirable results. Fantasy managers should rush to add Kendre Miller wherever he is available. He is RB2-viable against the Packers on Monday night.
  • NO Quarterback #18
It’s the least surprising football news we’ll hear all week. Just days after benching Jake Haener for an atrocious half of football, the Saints have decided it would be best to start Rattler in Monday night’s game against the Packers. Rattler had an up-and-down outing in the two quarters he played against the Commanders but nearly mounted a comeback win in the fourth quarter when he threw a touchdown to Foster Moreau as time expired. A failed two-point conversion attempt ultimately sealed the Saints’ fate in the 20-19 defeat, but Rattler was unquestionably the best available quarterback for the Saints last week. Fantasy managers in traditional 1QB leagues can ignore Rattler, but he may have some viability for those in 2QB/Superflex leagues.
  • MIA Wide Receiver #17
Waddle has missed both practices to open the week and is on the wrong side of playing in Week 16 against the 49ers. If Waddle can’t get on the field in a limited capacity on Friday, it would likely mean Tyreek Hill and Malik Washington will slot in as the Dolphins’ top two receivers.
