  • NO Quarterback #18
Personalize your Rotoworld feed by favoriting players
Rattler and the Saints got completely manhandled by the Packers in what would become the first shutout of the 2024 NFL season. While Rattler was far from sharp in this one, he was commanding an offense without its top four primary skill position players with all of Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed, Alvin Kamara, and Taysom Hill out of action. The Saints managed to possess the ball for only 22:47 in game time while Rattler also lost a fumble on a play that mirrored something you would see in Pop Warner. The future of the franchise remains uncertain as they limp towards the end of the regular season, but it is fair to question whether the Saints whiffed on Rattler in this year’s NFL Draft.
  • GB Quarterback #10
Love was not sacked and did not commit a turnover in a game the Packers eventually pitched the first shutout of the 2024 season by any team. The offense was cooking on their first three possessions while scoring a touchdown on each, allowing the Packers to pull their starters early as they looked to escape Week 16 with a clean bill of health. Even through those efforts, wide receiver Christian Watson departed the contest after his only target and his status appears uncertain moving forward. The team did not pass an injury update on the young wide receiver but he was seen on the sideline getting his right quad massaged by the training staff just above the knee. Love and the Packers now turn their attention to one of the three teams to have beaten them this season in the Vikings in Week 17.
  • GB Wide Receiver #9
Watson stayed down on the field after his only target of the game and eventually made his way to the sideline. The team did not release an update on his status during the game but he was seen on the sideline getting his right quad massaged just above the knee. Expect an update from the team in the coming days. Watson’s status in Week 17 is something to monitor after the Packers clinched a playoff berth, something that could provide more run for Dontayvion Wicks on the perimeter.
  • GB Tight End #85
Like others on the team, Kraft was busy early but was hardly utilized in the second half after the Packers took a 21-0 lead into the break, eventually pitching the first shutout by any team of the 2024 season. Kraft could be called upon at greater frequency in Week 17 when the Packers face the division rival Vikings.
  • GB Wide Receiver #11
Quarterback Jordan Love attempted only 28 passes after the Packers jumped out to 21-0 lead in the first half, with only Dontayvion Wicks seeing more than a modest four targets. Reed caught a 37-yard pass from Love early in the game and padded his counting stats with a 34-yard reception in the fourth quarter from backup quarterback Malik Willis. Reed could be busier in Week 17 when the Packers travel to Minnesota to face the Vikings.
  • GB Running Back #8
Jacobs saw 13 touches on the first two drives of the game as the Packers jumped out to a 14-0 lead at the beginning of the second quarter. They were then able to coast the rest of the way as the Saints struggled to move the ball with Spencer Rattler under center and a ragtag bunch of skill position players around him, which held Jacobs to just four more touches the rest of the game. Both Chris Brooks and Emanuel Wilson would score later in the game as the Packers looked to get out of Week 16 healthy. The Packers get the Vikings on the road in Week 17 in what should be another tight divisional game in the most competitive division in the league.
  • GB Defensive Back #23
It’ll mark the fifth straight absence for the elite cornerback as he tends to a knee injury suffered in Week 11. Holding him out until fully healthy is likely the right long-term call for a team all but assuredly to find themselves playing in Wildcard weekend in the postseason. Alexander managed to return to a full practice this week but the additional time off should ensure he is back to 100% for the playoffs.
  • SEA Running Back #9
Walked suffered an ankle injury in the second half of Sunday’s loss to the Vikings and didn’t return to the field. He dealt with an ankle injury earlier in the season but hasn’t been listed with an ankle injury since Week 14’s game against the Cardinals. Monday’s report was only an estimation, but if Walker can’t go on Thursday against the Bears, Zach Charbonnet would again be jammed into a bell cow role. We’ll see if things improve for Walker on Tuesday when the Seahawks take the field for the first practice of the week.
  • ARI Quarterback #1
Great news for fantasy football, this is. It’s also a good sign that Murray is coming out of the competitive portion of this year mostly healthy. Thus far, Murray has completed 68.6 percent of his passes for 3288 yards, 16 touchdowns, and nine picks. Those aren’t exactly franchise quarterback numbers, but Murray has probably done enough to remain Arizona’s franchise quarterback going forward while they focus their 2025 resources on the defense and offensive line.
  • HOU Wide Receiver #18
Johnson will be able to share some intel on his old team ahead of Christmas’ game against the Ravens. The target vacuum that has emerged in Houston with injuries to Tank Dell and Stefon Diggs is an inviting fantasy football volume spot. It is unlikely the Texans would ask Johnson to be that right away, but the #RevengeGame narratives do write themselves nicely. We’d expect them to try and get his feet wet in Week 17, and maybe give him an expanded role in Week 18 and see what happens against the Titans.
