ESPN’s Adam Schefter said he “would guess” Daniel Jones “will never play another down” for the Giants.

He pointed at the tonal shift that Brian Daboll had in yesterday’s press conference, and speculated that Daniel Jones’ $23 million injury guarantee could force the Giants to bench Jones. “Just as we saw ... Russell Wilson and Jimmy Garoppolo be benched last year, and Derek Carr the year before ... to not risk those players getting hurt, I think we’re looking at the same thing with Daniel Jones right now.” Giants GM Joe Schoen held a presser today in which he said a decision on Jones would be “based on football only,” but it’s hard to take that at face value. Drew Lock would be the starting quarterback for the Giants if Jones were to be put on ice, and we might see even uglier football ahead for the Giants after their bye if that’s the case.
Desmond Ridder

The Athletic’s Vic Tatur writes the Raiders are “expected to make the change” to Desmond Ridder at quarterback.

Ridder’s inconsistent play makes him a bad real life quarterback, but he might have enough rushing upside to be a viable low-end superflex play, particularly if asked to pass a lot as the Raiders often have while trailing. Don’t blow the FAAB budget or anything, but Ridder is worth rostering in superflex leagues.
Tyreek Hill

ESPN’s Lisa Salters reports Tyreek Hill (wrist) is playing through a torn wrist ligament.

Hill detailed to Salter that the wrist had been bothering him since preseason, but it became aggravated when he was detained by police before Week 1 and an MRI revealed that he’d torn a ligament in it. When asked about the wrist injury by a Miami-area sportscaster, Hill’s agent Drew Rosenhaus said that surgery to repair the wrist was “not something I am prepared to discuss publicly” and added “that’s something that, really, will be internal between myself, Tyreek, his family, and the team.” What to take away from that for fantasy football? Hill rosterers need to hope the Dolphins keep winning, because there’s absolutely a chance that the Dolphins shut him down for the season if they are out of the playoff picture. For now, it appears likely he’ll keep playing through it.
Isiah Pacheco

KC Running Back #10

Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz reports Isiah Pacheco (leg) will be designated for return from injured reserve this week.

That doesn’t mean Pacheco will suit up for Week 11 against the Bills. He’ll be eligible to practice for up to three weeks, and could return to the playing field any time between Week 11 and Week 13. Kareem Hunt should get at least one more week as the Chiefs’ lead back. When Pacheco returns, look for Hunt to function, at best, as the 1B option behind Pacheco. Hunt’s reliability on short yardage carries could threaten Pacheco’s high value opportunities near the goal line.
Dak Prescott

DAL Quarterback #4

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Dak Prescott (hamstring) will undergo surgery and is out for the remainder of the season.

Prescott’s recovery time is expected to be about three months after his procedure to repair a partial avulsion of the hamstring tendon. Prescott and the team sought several medical opinions over the past week but were left with no choice but to go the surgical route. The Cowboys’ season is over, and with it, the Mike McCarthy era has likely reached its end. Some combination of Trey Lance and Cooper Rush will fill in for Prescott as Dallas plays out the stretch. Lance could have some deep league appeal due to his rushing. CeeDee Lamb, who caught six of 10 targets for 21 yards in Week 10 against the Eagles, becomes a borderline WR2 option with Prescott out.
Shane Waldron

FA Offensive Coordinator

Bears fired offensive coordinator Shane Waldron.

Thomas Brown, the Panthers’ former offensive coordinator, will take over play calling duties in Chicago. A year after flaming out as Seattle’s OC, Waldron couldn’t make it through one season with the Bears. Stacked with as much wide receivers talent as any team in the league along with No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams, Waldron’s offense ranked 31st in yards, with a meager nine touchdowns through Week 10. Chicago has the league’s fifth lowest offensive success rate heading into Week 11, and Williams has been the most inaccurate QB in football since the middle of October. The Bears are set to clean house following the season in an effort to save Williams from being one of the biggest draft busts in NFL history. It would be shocking to see Waldron get another OC job in the NFL.
Cooper Kupp

LAR Wide Receiver #10

Cooper Kupp caught all seven targets for 80 yards in the Rams’ Week 10 loss to the Dolphins.

Kupp’s seven looks paled in comparison to the 14 of Puka Nacua, with the talented second-year receiver now finally healthy after multiple injury scares with his knee. Even so, Kupp made numerous key catches to move the football as quarterback Matthew Stafford’s preferred intermediate target. The Rams struggled in the red zone and were held out of the end zone for only the second time with Stafford under center, capping Kupp’s fantasy upside in the process. Kupp will look to get back in the scoring column in Week 11 when the Rams travel to face the Patriots.
Puka Nacua

LAR Wide Receiver #17

Puka Nacua caught 9-of-14 targets for 98 yards in the Rams’ Week 10 loss to the Dolphins.

Nacua returned from injury to a subdued role in Week 8 before banging his injured knee on the ground in practice ahead of Week 9. He would ultimately suit up in that game but was swiftly ejected for throwing a punch, making the 14-target performance a week later soothing to fantasy managers that have missed his presence in their rosters this season. Two miscues from quarterback Matthew Stafford in the red zone could have made Nacua’s night that much bigger, but both passes ultimately fell incomplete as the Rams failed to score a touchdown for only the second time during Stafford’s career with the team. Up next for Nacua and the Rams is a much more forgiving Patriots team in Week 11.
Kyren Williams

LAR Running Back #23

Kyren Williams rushed 15 times for 61 yards in the Rams’ Week 10 loss to the Dolphins, adding 20 yards on five receptions.

Williams continued to garner one of the most robust running back roles in the league but went the way of the team, largely struggling to find room against a reinvigorated Dolphins defense. The team also struggled mightily in the red zone and failed to score an offensive touchdown for only the second time with Matthew Stafford under center. Fantasy managers can take solace in the fact that Williams’ robust role should make performances like this one few and far between, even though that doesn’t help ease the pain for those counting on his production in Week 10. Williams could find better success against another AFC East opponent in the Patriots in Week 11.
Matthew Stafford

LAR Quarterback #9

Matthew Stafford completed 32-of-46 passes for 293 yards and one interception in the Rams’ 23-15, Week 10 loss to the Dolphins.

Stafford led an offense that failed to score a touchdown for only the second time in his career with the Rams, struggling to move the football against a reinvigorated Dolphins defense that got numerous key defenders back from injury ahead of their Week 10 meeting. They would also clearly struggle in the red zone, leading to five field goals on six attempts for kicker Joshua Karty. Stafford’s lone interception came on a tipped pass near the end of the first quarter with the team down 10-0, setting the tone for the remainder of the game. With the loss, the Rams fall to 4-5 and suddenly find themselves 1.5 games back from the division lead with eight games remaining to play. The Rams travel to Foxboro to face the Patriots in Week 11.
