  • DAL Quarterback #10
Personalize your Rotoworld feed by favoriting players
As Jones pointed out in his weekly interview, the most important thing is winning, not evaluating. Rush, who had one of the worst quarterback performances in modern NFL history in Week 10, threw for 354-1-1 in Week 11 on 55 pass attempts. There’s a strong push from fans and media for the Cowboys to start Lance, the former No. 3 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, but sitting at 3-7, the Cowboys are still focused on winning games. There’s a good chance we’ll see Lance at some point this season, but Dallas is clearly prepared to lean into Rush for at least one more week against the Commanders. We’ll see if Sunday’s performance changes any minds heading into Week 13.
  • TB Wide Receiver #13
Evans was limited in Wednesday’s practice and will likely be limited again on Thursday. The veteran receiver is working his way back from a severe hamstring injury that has caused him to miss the Buccaneers’ last three games, but he is reportedly planning to play in Week 12 against the Giants. Evans will project as a WR2 in his first game back.
  • LV Running Back #23
Injuries to Zamir White (quad) and Alexander Mattison (ankle) will shoehorn Laube into Sunday’s rotation. The rookie sixth-round pick hasn’t been active since losing a fumble on his first career touch back in Week 6 against the Steelers, but it sounds like he and Ameer Abdullah could be slated for busy days against one of the league’s top defenses. Laube could offer some upside as a pass-catcher in Sunday’s AFC West showdown, but fantasy managers shouldn’t be flocking to put him in their starting lineups. If the matchup wasn’t challenging enough as is, the Raiders have been one of the worst rushing teams in the league all season. Pro Football Focus has them graded as the fifth-worst run-blocking team in all of football. Laube is better used as a stash rather than a start in Week 12, even with a tough week of byes on tap.
  • SF Quarterback #13
Per head coach Kyle Shanahan, Purdy is dealing with soreness in his right (throwing) shoulder after the team’s Week 11 loss to the Seahawks. Shanahan is hardly a reliable narrator when it comes to injuries, but this does appear to be a rather minor issue. Barring a surprise, Purdy will suit up as a low-end QB1 for his Week 12 matchup with the Packers.
  • SF Tight End #85
Kittle missed Week 11 with the hamstring issue despite closing the week with two limited practices before being listed as questionable. A limited practice to open the week is a step in the right direction. Head coach Kyle Shanahan also told reporters that he was close to playing on Sunday. Our bet is on Kittle returning for Week 12 and Kittle evidently agrees, telling reporters “I will be playing on Sunday.” Fantasy managers will want to keep tabs on this situation as the week progresses but things are headed in the right direction. The 49ers don’t have a tight end of note for fantasy purposes when Kittle is sidelined, so emergency Kittle replacements will need to come from other squads.
  • CLE Tight End #85
Njoku had his reps limited in practice this week but doesn’t have an injury designation heading into Thursday’s game versus the Steelers. Njoku has seen plenty of looks in recent weeks, piling up 19 receptions in Jameis Winston’s three starts. He remains in the TE1 ranks for Week 12.
  • TB Wide Receiver #13
Evans has been out since Week 7 with a severe hamstring issue. Initial reports had Week 12 as the most likely return for him and it looks like things are going to plan for the veteran wideout. The Bucs are also without Chris Godwin who is done for the year with an ankle injury. Evans should easily dominate the team’s targets once healthy. If active for Week 12, Evans will rise to the top of the WR2 ranks in his first game back. He practiced in a limited capacity on Wednesday.
  • CHI Running Back #4
Apparently Swift sustained a groin injury in Week 10 against Green Bay, a game that saw him run for 71 yard and a score on 14 rushes. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on Swift’s late-week practice participation before they put him in lineups for Week 11. Roschon Johnson would become a top-15 fantasy play if Swift were to be sidelined this week against Minnesota.
  • NYG Running Back #29
With Tommy DeVito taking over at quarterback, Graziano makes the (reasonable) assumption that the Giants will play it conservatively on offense, which could mean a heavy dose of rookie RB Tyrone Tracy. Tracy has been efficient by every measure, averaging 5.1 yards per carry with a 47 percent rushing success rate. He’ll face off against a Tampa defense giving up the NFL’s 14th highest rushing success rate in 2024. Tracy is locked in as a top-15 option in Week 11. The Giants have a 61 percent drop back rate on the season, 3 percent below their expected rate.
  • DAL Wide Receiver #3
Cooks, who hasn’t played since Week 4 after developing an infection during a knee procedure, has a chance to suit up this week against the Commanders. The Cowboys could choose to hold Cooks out until their Thanksgiving Day matchup against the Giants. If Cooks remains sidelined in Week 11, KaVontae Turpin — who had 86 yards and a touchdown on three catches in Week 10 — could be interesting in deeper formats. Cooks was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
