Jordan Stolz made it nine medals in nine career World Single Distances Championships races.
20-year-old American Jordan Stolz finished just seven hundredths behind Norway’s Peder Kongshaug, taking silver in the 1500m at the ISU World Speed Skating Championships in Hamar, Norway.
With a time of 1:08.26, Jordan Stolz rounded out the podium in the men’s 1000m at the ISU World Speed Skating Championships in Hamar, Norway behind both Joep Wennemars and Jenning De Boo of the Netherlands.
The U.S. won three medals on the second day of the World Single Distances Speed Skating Championships.
Jordan Stolz and Cooper McLeod made history by capturing silver and bronze in the men’s 500m to become the first American men since Shani Davis and Trevor Marsicano in 2009 to make the same individual world podium.
Just one day after winning the 500m and the 1500m, Jordan Stolz kept the momentum going with a victory in the 1000m. He set a track record with a time of 1:08.42, beating Dutchman Kjeld Nuis by 36 hundredths.
Jordan Stolz (1:45.08) extended his 1500m World Cup winning streak to seven races with a dramatic victory in Poland, edging Norway’s Peder Kongshaug in the process to stay undefeated in the event since December 2023.
