Bagley had little trouble handling Indiana’s overmatched frontcourt as he recorded his second consecutive double-double, attempting double-digit free throws for the third time in his last six contests since the start of December. The 26-year-old former lottery pick is averaging 14 points and 8.7 rebounds during that span, offering some appeal in deeper fantasy formats. The Wizards return to action on Thursday with a road tilt against the Spurs before weekend contests against the Grizzlies and Spurs.
Bub Carrington

Bub Carrington amassed just nine points (4-of-11 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), three rebounds, five assists and one steal over 36 minutes during Sunday’s lopsided win over the Pacers.

Carrington was ice-cold from the floor — draining just 4-of-11 shots, including 2-of-7 from three-point range — on the heels of a stellar all-around performance during Friday’s loss to the Cavaliers where he delivered 27 points, six rebounds and eight assists. The 20-year-old upstart has emerged as a viable option in deeper fantasy leagues over the past week, averaging 19 points, 6.5 rebounds and one steal over his past two games. He’s taken advantage of an uptick in scoring opportunities with several of Washington’s key contributors sidelined due to injury. He’ll attempt to keep the momentum going when the Wizards face the Spurs on Thursday in a road matchup.
Justin Champagnie

Justin Champagnie tallied 13 points (6-of-13 FGs), 14 rebounds, two assists and one block over 30 minutes during Sunday’s win over the Pacers.

Champagnie pulled down 11 defensive rebounds to notch his first double-double of the young season. The 24-year-old guard has delivered fourth-round fantasy value over the past two weeks, averaging 10.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.2 blocks over his last six games dating back to the start of December. He’s a decent pickup for fantasy managers in deeper mixed leagues as he should continue to get opportunities for the rebuilding Wizards as they deal with a plethora of injuries to key contributors.
Alex Sarr

Alex Sarr (adductor) is out for Sunday’s game against the Pacers.

Sunday’s game will be the sixth that Sarr has missed with a strained right adductor. The center rotation should remain the same in his absence, with Marvin Bagley III filling the void in the starting lineup and Tristan Vukčević serving as the backup. Bagley offers a higher streaming ceiling since he’s the starter.
Khris Middleton

Khris Middleton (knee) is out for Sunday’s game against the Pacers.

Sunday’s game will be the third straight that Middleton has missed, as he continues to deal with a sore right knee. Justin Champagnie has been his replacement in the starting lineup and should retain that role. However, he played only 18 minutes in Friday’s loss to the Cavaliers, while rookies Jamir Watkins and Will Riley logged 29 and 24 minutes, respectively, off the bench. With Tre Johnson returning to action on Friday, there may not be enough minutes for Champagnie to affect fantasy basketball, even if he remains in the starting lineup.

Malaki Branham (thumb) is out for Sunday’s game against the Pacers.

Branham is unavailable for a second straight game as he deals with a sprained right thumb. However, his absence does not affect fantasy basketball, as the guard is not guaranteed rotation minutes when healthy.

WAS Forward #18

Kyshawn George totaled 15 points (5-of-10 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), two rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and three three-pointers in the loss to the Cavaliers on Friday.

George’s three-point production against the Cavaliers led to him tallying 15 points for the third straight game. His numbers were quiet across most of the remaining statistical categories from a fantasy basketball standpoint, which hasn’t been the case during his second NBA season. Fouls also played a role in his finishing with only 26 minutes of game action. Assuming fouls aren’t an issue on Sunday against the Pacers, George will have a chance to land some solid production.
Bub Carrington

Bub Carrington totaled 27 points (10-of-20 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs), six rebounds, eight assists, one steal and five three-pointers in the loss to the Cavaliers on Friday.

Carrington tied a team-high in points on Friday and also led the Wizards in assists. He was the most productive player on the team during his 41 minutes of game action, highlighted by the five threes he tallied. The scoring and three-point marks that the second-year guard tallied were both season highs, and he’ll look to build off the performance and put together another strong one on Sunday against the Pacers.
CJ McCollum

CJ McCollum added 27 points (9-of-20 FGs, 6-of-9 FTs), four rebounds, six assists, one steal and three three-pointers in Friday’s loss to the Cavaliers.

McCollum was one of two Wizards players to score over 25 points in the loss. He shot efficiently en route to nearly tallying 30 points, but also contributed as a facilitator in the process. Even with the Wizards’ struggles this season, the veteran guard is still finding ways to produce. His scoring numbers are as low as they’ve been since his sophomore season, but not far off his 21.1/ 3.8/ 4.1 splits last season. He’ll remain a focal point of the Wizards’ offense so long as he’s in the lineup.

Malaki Branham (thumb) is out for Friday’s matchup with the Cavaliers.

A sprained right thumb will keep Branham sidelined against Cleveland, but his absence shouldn’t cause much of a stir in the realm of fantasy hoops. He logged 14 minutes off the bench on Saturday, but that was due to multiple injuries ahead of him on the depth chart. He’s logged just eight minutes per game this season.
