Kispert’s continued absence does not significantly affect fantasy basketball, but it does free up minutes for some of Washington’s other wings. Tre Johnson has not reached the point where he’s a must-stream player, but that may change later in the season.

Kyshawn George (hip) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Grizzlies.

George is dealing with a sore left hip flexor. If he can’t play on Sunday, Justin Champagnie is a potential replacement in the starting lineup. If that were to happen, Champagnie could start two straight games, as the Wizards also play on Monday. Khris Middleton, who has not played both games of back-to-backs, is currently active for Sunday’s game.

Malaki Branham (thumb) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Grizzlies.

Branham is still dealing with a sprained right thumb. His availability does not affect fantasy basketball, as the former first-round pick is not guaranteed to play rotation minutes.

CJ McCollum amassed 21 points (8-of-16 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), three rebounds, four assists and three three-pointers in Friday’s win over the Raptors.

McCollum has scored at least 20 points in five of his last eight games. He has been one of the few Wizards to provide consistent fantasy value this season, which is unsurprising, given his career track record. McCollum’s role is secure for now, but his name is one to watch ahead of the February trade deadline. A move to another team may be what ensures the veteran guard of a consistent role through the fantasy playoffs, as that may not be guaranteed if he remains with the rebuilding Wizards.
Bilal Coulibaly

Bilal Coulibaly accounted for 21 points (8-of-14 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), eight rebounds, one assist, three steals, one block and one three-pointer in Friday’s win over the Raptors.

Between injuries and production, this has been an underwhelming season for Coulibaly so far. That makes Friday’s performance that much more satisfying for the Wizards wing and those who continued to roster him. The 21 points were a season-high for Coulibaly, who also provided excellent value in rebounds and “stocks.” Rostered in 11 percent of Yahoo! leagues, his eight-cat fantasy value remains outside the top-150. However, he’s someone to watch ahead of the “silly season,” as there should not be any reason to shut down Coulibaly later in the year.

Kyshawn George produced 23 points (9-of-13 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), six rebounds, three assists, one block and three three-pointers in Friday’s win over the Raptors.

The Wizards put forth one of their best performances of the season on Friday, with George and five others scoring at least 12 points. The second-year wing continues to exceed the expectations of most fantasy managers, providing fifth-round value in eight-cat formats. And the timing of this performance was great for George, as he endured the worst game of his season in Tuesday’s loss to the Hornets. While the occasional “dud” can happen, George’s overall production has been highly encouraging.

Justin Champagnie (illness) is available for Friday’s game against the Raptors.

Champagnie is officially available after being listed as questionable earlier Friday. While Corey Kispert is out, the Wizards are otherwise relatively healthy on the wings, which limits Champagnie’s opportunities. There’s no need to roster him in most leagues.

Justin Champagnie (illness) is questionable to play against the Raptors on Friday.

Champagnie is a late addition to the injury report, and with Corey Kispert (hamstring) already ruled out, there will be extra minutes on the wing available. Tre Johnson should take on a larger reserve role, though Bilal Coulibaly and Khris Middleton should see a slight bump in minutes as well.

Corey Kispert (hamstring) is out for Friday’s game against the Raptors.

Kispert exited Tuesday’s loss to the Hornets with tightness in his left hamstring and will not play on Friday. With Cam Whitmore (shoulder) out indefinitely with a deep-vein thrombosis, there will be more minutes available to Tre Johnson off the bench. While he isn’t at a point where he should be rostered in redraft leagues, Johnson has “silly season hero” potential.

Bilal Coulibaly recorded 14 points (5-of-13 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), five rebounds, one assist and one block over 23 minutes during Tuesday’s loss to the Hornets.

There weren’t a ton of bright spots for the Wizards as they faded badly in the second half of this one, but Coulibaly drained 3-of-9 from three-point range and managed to drop 14 points in just 23 minutes of action as he continues to work his way back from an ankle injury. The 21-year-old remains the textbook definition of a long-term developmental project but he continues to show flashes of potential as a shooter with the athleticism to impact the game on both ends of the floor.
