The Washington Wizards won the 2006 NBA Draft Lottery.
The Wizards will be followed by the Jazz, Grizzlies and Bulls in the top four of the draft order. Washington had a 14 percent chance of landing the first overall pick, which was tied with Indiana and Brooklyn for best odds under the current lottery system. AJ Dybantsa, Cameron Boozer and Darryn Petterson are among the top prospects in the 2026 NBA Draft.
Jamir Watkins
WAS
Forward
#5
Jamir Watkins notched 24 points (7-of-13 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), four rebounds, three assists, one block and five three-pointers in Sunday’s loss to the Cavaliers.
Watkins saved his best for last, recording a season-high point total in the final game of his rookie campaign. He shot 5-of-9 from beyond the arc, with the five makes also a season high for the athletic forward. Watkins is on a two-way deal, so he faces a critical summer in terms of solidifying his place in the NBA.
Will Riley
WAS
Forward
#27
Will Riley amassed six points (2-of-11 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), five rebounds and four assists in Sunday’s loss to the Cavaliers.
While the final game of his rookie season was not particularly good, Riley played well more often than not over the last month. The 6-foot-8 wing scored in double figures in 11 of his last 12 games, providing seventh-round fantasy value during that stretch. The Wizards have a lot of young wings on their roster going into the offseason, making it challenging to project Riley’s value in redraft leagues next fall. Not to mention a likely high lottery pick in what’s projected to be a loaded draft. However, Riley is unquestionably worth holding onto in dynasty leagues.
Bub Carrington
WAS
Guard
#7
Bub Carrington finished Sunday’s loss to the Cavaliers with 20 points (7-of-18 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), two rebounds, nine assists, two steals, one block and four three-pointers.
Carrington finished his second NBA season on a positive note, totaling 50 points in the Wizards’ final two games. However, his category-league fantasy value remained low over the final month of the season, even with the increased playing time. With a healthy Trae Young in the mix, Carrington will compete for the backup point guard role in 2026-27. While he’s worth holding onto in dynasty leagues, redraft league managers are likely to leave Bub on the board in drafts next fall.
Anthony Gill
WAS
Forward
#16
Anthony Gill (back, head) is available for Sunday’s game against the Cavaliers.
Gill is good to go for Sunday’s season finale after being injured during Friday’s loss to the Heat. While he has started games recently, Julian Reese has been the more productive option, as the rookie has played more minutes.
Bilal Coulibaly
WAS
Guard
#0
Bilal Coulibaly (heel), Tre Johnson (foot) and Tristan Vukčević (knee) are out for Sunday’s game against the Cavaliers.
The Wizards will be light on options for Sunday’s season finale, especially on the perimeter. The absence of Coulibaly and Johnson will mean more opportunities for Will Riley and Leaky Black. As for Vukčević, his continued absence does not change much in the frontcourt, with the Wizards continuing to rely on Julian Reese.
Anthony Gill
WAS
Forward
#16
Anthony Gill (back, head) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Cavaliers.
In addition to his back injury, Gill took a shot to the head during Friday’s loss to the Heat. While the veteran forward/center was not officially ruled out at the time, he’s dealing with a headache, so Gill is on the injury report. Julian Reese has been productive recently and is worth rostering in active fantasy leagues, regardless of Gill’s availability.
Will Riley
WAS
Forward
#27
Will Riley amassed 16 points (7-of-17 FGs), four rebounds, two assists, one steal and two three-pointers in Friday’s loss to the Heat.
Riley has scored in double figures in 10 of his last 11 appearances, including Friday’s defeat. With multiple Wizards wings sidelined due to injury, the rookie has been allowed to do more offensively, whether he’s coming off the bench or starting. For fantasy managers in active leagues, Riley is worth a look for the Wizards’ season finale on Sunday against the Cavaliers.
Bilal Coulibaly
WAS
Guard
#0
Bilal Coulibaly recorded 25 points (9-of-16 FGs, 5-of-5 FTa), five rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block and two three-pointers in Friday’s loss to the Heat.
Back in the lineup after missing Thursday’s loss to the Bulls, Coulibaly recorded his first stat line this season with at least 25 points, five rebounds and five assists. Given the Wizards’ many young wings and the fact that they’ll likely hold onto their top-8 protected first-round pick, Coulibaly will face significant competition for rotation minutes when training camp opens next fall. Nights like Friday can only strengthen his case for a starting spot.
Bub Carrington
WAS
Guard
#7
Bub Carrington accumulated 30 points (11-of-15 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), two rebounds, four assists, one steal and six three-pointers in Friday’s loss to the Heat.
A double-digit scorer in six consecutive games, Carrington matched his season-high on Friday with 30 points. The second-year guard made six of his seven three-point attempts against the Heat while finishing a blocked shot shy of a complete stat line. With a healthy Trae Young in the mix, Carrington is going to have a reserve role next season. That said, a good finish to the season would help solidify his place in the rotation.
