De’Aaron Fox had 24 points (8-of-21 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), six rebounds, five assists, one block and four three-pointers in Sunday’s loss to the Nuggets.

The Spurs were already locked into their playoff seed and Fox wasn’t having an efficient game, but he still played 33 minutes in the regular season finale. San Antonio still managed to lose the game to a Nuggets team that played Nikola Jokic fewer than 20 minutes. Fox still had a good game, adding in rebounds, assists and a block, which he tends to do when Victor Wembanyama is out. In his first full season with the Spurs, Fox has provided seventh-round per game value.

Dylan Harper (thumb) will not return to Sunday’s game against the Nuggets.

Harper suffered a left thumb injury during the second half of Sunday’s game. The rookie guard played 18 minutes, finishing with nine points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal. Jordan McLaughlin may play a few more minutes in the fourth quarter, but the bigger concern is Harper’s availability for the playoffs, which begin next weekend.

Stephon Castle (foot) is available to play against the Nuggets on Sunday.

Castle will be back following a two-game absence, and with Victor Wembanyama (ribs) sidelined, he should be able to provide more production than usual. Dylan Harper has been starting in place of Castle but may return to the bench for this game.

Vassell is good to go for Sunday’s game. However, with the Spurs locked into the No. 2 seed, fantasy managers in active leagues should anticipate Vassell playing limited minutes. Expect to see plenty of Carter Bryant on Sunday.

Luke Kornet should start and play plenty of minutes against the Nuggets on Sunday.

While Wembanyama and Castle played in Friday’s win over the Mavericks, Castle did not. The Spurs are locked into the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference, and the Wemby and Castle have played enough to be eligible for postseason awards. Players like Carter Bryant and Harrison Ingram could play plenty on Sunday.

Kornet won’t be available for the Spurs’ final game of the regular season, which may free up minutes for Mason Plumlee, Kelly Olynyk and even Bismack Biyombo. Victor Wembanyama is considered questionable, but he guaranteed that he’ll be eligible for postseason awards by logging 26 minutes in Friday’s win over the Mavericks, so the MVP candidate may not play much on Sunday.

Keldon Johnson provided a boost off the bench with 17 points (6-of-13 FGs), five rebounds, two assists and one three-pointer against the Mavericks on Friday.

The clear betting favorite for Sixth Man of the Year, Johnson was able to turn in another strong performance in this game. He still isn’t a great option in category leagues; he simply doesn’t produce in enough categories consistently. However, he has had his most efficient season this year and has been a reliable scoring option off the bench for San Antonio all season long. He has yet to miss a game, so he may suit up for the season finale despite the Spurs already locked in as the second seed in the West.

De’Aaron Fox recorded a double-double on Friday with 18 points (7-of-14 FGs), one rebound, 10 assists and two three-pointers against the Mavericks.

With Stephon Castle sidelined for this game, Fox stepped up as a playmaker and recorded his first double-double in over a month. Fox is still capable of producing at a high level, but he hasn’t been as aggressive as a scorer this season. The younger guards have stepped up, but Fox reminded us in this game that he can still facilitate at a high level. This type of performance was great to see with the playoffs a little over a week away.

Victor Wembanyama lit up the Mavericks with 40 points (14-of-23 FGs, 10-of-11 FTs), 13 rebounds, five assists, one steal, two blocks and two three-pointers in a 139-120 win on Friday.

Wemby returned from a one-game absence and played 26 minutes, which was a little more than enough for him to qualify for a 65th game played and be eligible for awards. However, he didn’t just coast to get there; he dominated this game with his third 40-point double-double in his last five appearances. Wemby has once again been one of the best players in fantasy basketball and will look to carry this dominant production into his first playoff appearance.
